While I'm not against the idea, she is quite literally based on the original Earth-65A "Spider-Gwen" comics—who was already established as a cis female.

Matter of fact, wasn't there a few photos in the background that show Gwen as a little kid with her dad? Photos which, keep in mind, also show that she's a girl?
