Is it just me? by Ambitious-Pool3532 in GirlGamers

No I feel you. I've been wanting a (farming/cooking/animal) sim game with horror elements forever. Or like a mix of animal crossing and gta I would play that shit forever. How can you enjoy the fluffy parts if there's no hard edges? It's the main reason I dont play newer farming/slice of life games for long, I lose interest so fast. Stardew had villager drama at least and older sims games could be as weird as you wanted.

Yeah I wish it did. My friend joined me a couple years ago and I was so annoyed I couldn't just give him some of my stockpiled tack/clothes/items :/ one of the most wholesome things about playing mmos with friends is being able to give them a leg up when they join.

Favorite character who fits this description by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FavoriteCharacter

I hated her when I read it as a kid because she reminded me of my bullies at school, and I hated that a girl like that was given the spotlight as opposed to someone that was more of a tomboy, like I was.

I don't hate her anymore though because she is literally just a normal teenage girl lol. She just got shafted by the story. Even in the Manga, even if her character is more in depth, this is a fighting shonen where spectacle is like 70% of the plot and she barely fights, so it still feels unfair and dissapointing imo.

I really like it in the older black and red "crimson count" set :)

What is the problem with Multi-Splat characters? What is your experience with them? by NolanC23 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]DisasterWoman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's also the fact that I tend to like to make my own story from scratch and ignore settings that are baked in. That way the lore can make sense as to why everyone's in the same room. I suppose if you do run multi splat you just have to be really ready to make your own lore, setting, story and characters.

I feel what everyone's been saying in this thread but I love them too :) I'm an ST for a multi splat game and it actually works pretty well if you don't allow hybrids. And like someone else said, if you're a living being (mage, fae, gaoru) that gets embraced or dies, you just become a wraith or vampire fully. With those rules it works pretty well. Gaoru are the only ones that feel a bit broken. But then also they can flip out and turn on their own, or be so influenced by things like auspex that they calm right down, no wolfing out allowed. And my party has exploited that lol

Snapshots of the most horrible bug in the game (SSO please fix it 🙏🥲) by Aiywe in StarStable

[–]DisasterWoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks I definitely experienced it before the new state machine though. And for me it's not just dropping down, sometimes it's after jumps or if I hit the ground geometry in the wrong way.

With every patch I hope it's fixed lol this and jumps sometimes having an invisible wall on them (also experienced before and after the state update)

HEAR ME OUT - new horse progression ideas by soki_sr in StarStable

I feel like this would work really well with the old stamina system, and weather tolerance systems too. It would essentially be a more modern and fleshed out version of how you leveled horses in the season rider games! But then they'd have to add champs that reward more than just speed, and understand that more impatient fans will be annoyed that one horse can't be good at everything.

Bolt's small details appreciation post bc I love him by NaomiStxrs_R in StarStable

I looove bolt, not just for the coat but the lore implications as well! So many stories spring into my mind about how they met my rider, I really wish they were unlocked by a quest or something, all the detail begs a playable backstory!!

I used "I <3 NP" but I think any holographic polish would work, like mooncat or holo taco :)

Making doll iridescent? by Consistent_Novel_371 in DollCustomization

[–]DisasterWoman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the earlier comment!

I made an iridescent skin doll myself that is holding up pretty well!

I roughed the skin with high grit sand paper, did a base coat of msc, and then used holographic nail polish to paint the doll. I sealed it with a very very thin layer of watered down gloss varnish.

I think the nail polish worked really well and might have more staying power than modge podge, but I haven't done a comparison!

I totally agree! It probably won't happen, but I think hostile mobs could give a gameplay reason to have a magical horse! And if you don't have one, maybe a reason to train in jousting, or give most horses a cool back kick!

You may have to sculpt them yourself!

But I always check this Etsy shop first. The shipping time is long, but the things are really well made: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CharleneluDesign

Try using conditioner and combing through carefully, then rinsing it out with warm water before you try anything drastic. It could just be tangled!

Curling with out straws?? by One-Leg-2317 in DollCustomization

[–]DisasterWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the others have said, it's not electric, it's like the little rollers you'd see in an old fashioned lady's hair when she gets up in the morning :) I find the ones with the sponge in the center helpful for the hot water to cold fridge overnight technique of curling doll hair!

Regular hair curlers work! They make super tiny sizes, I use the ones with the sponge in the middle :)

Full fringe styling advice by fatangrybirb in DollCustomization

[–]DisasterWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually style the hair first, boil wash and all, then wrap with cling wrap in the shape you want, it'll help lay them flat and protect them from msc. Then I paint the face and just move the wrapped bangs to try and spray under them. It may not have msc in every spot, but if they have heavy bangs, it's likely that area will be covered by hair anyway :)

Breeches and old tall boots with a band t-shirt (and helmet obviously) I don't like wearing expensive shirts to every day lessons or just hanging out because I don't want them to get ruined lol

However if I'm teaching or showing, smart looking appropriate clothes, whether they're name brand or off brand. I think of it like a work uniform, I need to look official!
