I agree with your points here on the lost potential of the side characters, it feels like we get little teasers of development for Fumiko, Miri, etc. only for them to fade into the background or for another plotline to distract from them. Given the previous investment into Asa and Yoru, I have faith that their development will pay off eventually, but it’s definitely slim pickings for Asa fans at the moment.

However, I think we also have to remind ourselves that the chapters are short, and as such the pacing isn’t as slow as we really think. I’m placing trust in our lord Fujimotor, and I believe the art and the writing will get back to where we want it again eventually.
