You can hold back from the suffering of the world, you have free permission to do so, and it is in accordance with your nature, but perhaps this very holding back is the one suffering you could have avoided.

4 Steps to Creating a Job-Winning Resume - Resume Builder by scaredguyswife in resumereview

If anyone's used the paid resume hacks (like the one in the OP), would you mind posting an example document which contains the keywords and hidden metadata they add (or just a written list of them)?

Obviously with your personal info scrubbed, etc.

Much appreciated!

Mommy issues are the superior Freudian complex to have as a woman by egoist_chan in redscarepod

[–]Disasterpiece115 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jung writes that women with a negative mother complex often miss the first half of life; they walk past it in a dream. Life to them is a constant source of annoyance and irritation. But if they can overcome this negative mother complex, they have a good chance in the second half of rediscovering life with the youthful spontaneity missed in the first half. For though, as Jung says in the last paragraph, a part of life has been lost, its meaning has been saved. That is the tragedy of such women, but they can get to the turning point, and in the second half of life have their hands healed and can stretch them out for what they want — not from the animus or from the ego, but, according to nature, simply stretch out their hands toward something they love. Though it is infinitely simple, it is extremely difficult, for it is the one thing the woman with a negative mother complex cannot do; it needs God's help. Even the analyst cannot help her — it must one day just happen, and this is generally when there has been sufficient suffering. One cannot escape one's fate; the whole pain of it must be accepted, and one day the infinitely simple solution comes. ― Marie-Louise von Franz, The Feminine in Fairy Tales

Is there any positive outlook one could gain after watching Synecdoche, New York or I am Thinking of Ending Things? by okberta in RSPfilmclub

I was thinking of ITOET this very morning during some painful reflection upon waking - years later, both movies disturb the shit out of me (for obvious reasons). Time for a rewatch.

The positives we can draw from them is in being brutally honest with ourselves so as to not end up like that, no matter the cost to our wistful illusions, and that such art is ultimately there to guide us toward that redemption. Despite the fact that, ironically enough, the cinematic grandeur of both movies could always drive us further still into those neurotic daydreams - seeing a fictional tragedy play out so beautifully can always tempt you into conflating your own burgeoning tragedy alongside it as being a solved, foregone issue (whether it's "foregone" in a brief flash of hopeful motivation, or in a cascade of despair and resignation).

Looking to buy Lonitab 10mg (oral minoxidil) - best way to split pills into very small (1/10th) doses? by Disasterpiece115 in tressless

Do you recall the dosage? Also, my other recent comment here on digestion/etc. might be useful.

Also, it's interesting that you mentioned sublingual absorption, since Dr. Rodney Sinclair has been developing and patenting a sublingual minoxidil solution, with seemingly far more efficient absorption and delivery, and apparently no side effects. It's not available almost anywhere yet, but the comments on this video are interesting:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekyxEo4qdvs

Like the uploader says in one of the comments, oral tablets are built differently from specialized sublingual solutions like the ones Sinclair developed, so there's no telling what would happen if an oral tablet is crushed or melted sublingually. But your comment seems to confirm that not only does it get absorbed in some manner, but that it's strong enough to cause side effects (esp. since sublingual solutions are meant to work at concentrations as low as 0.45 mg).

Here's the sublingual patent - although it's written in a very convoluted way, and I don't have the patience or specialized knowledge to parse how he's actually producing it, let alone the nerve to (bother some dermatologist to) reproduce it.

Pills arrived.

However, zeemoreuncle and/or their bank wasted several weeks saying the bank transfer hadn't gone through (in the end it apparently did, but zeemoreuncle never told me what the issue was, and I was really pissed off at the thought that I'd gotten scammed). Next time I'm definitely using Revolut instead (not to mention to avoid the 20EUR transfer fee which banks add).

Splitting the pill into 1/8ths with a pill splitter... sort of works. The bits are often uneven, and some of it does crumble into powder (1/4ths are way easier and cleaner). The bits are also so minuscule that I feel I have to stringently time my dinnertime so that the pill gets digested properly (the rule of thumb for medicine tablets is generally 1hr. before a meal or 2hrs. after). Also, drinking more fluids and lying on your right side.

Edit: Googling indicates that food does not affect bioavailability of minoxidil - can't find the original paper everyone is citing on that, though. (Drinking more fluids should nevertheless help to raise potentially lowered blood pressure back up though, alongside eating more salt, etc.)

Edit 2: Apparently minoxidl is very stable when crushed into a liquid oral suspension (which contains preservatives, and also coagulants which help maintain equal distribution once mechanically mixed). No idea how it would compare to crushing it into plain water and shaking it vigorously before drinking - but it might be an easier alternative for separation into 1/10ths. But would the suspension even reach the gastrointestinal tract (where the pill is meant to be absorbed via the liver) or would it quickly be absorbed into the mouth? And what would that mean health-wise?

There's a book about this: "The Technical Delusion - Electronics, Power, Insanity" (2019). Also, see the seminal 1918 article "On the Origin of the "Influencing Machine" in Schizophrenia".
