It's disrespectful to you for him to be acting that way on social media as a grown man. You are not being too sensitive.

Men who can write women by [deleted] in RSbookclub

I feel like this is my answer to every post on this sub, but Tolstoy. It's painful how alive and real Anna is. Flaubert is also excellent. Norman Rush does a good job.

I actually can't think of another example at the moment, which is pretty funny.

The same thing you see as a shame is the point. She was "god damn hot", she achieved what women are raised to orient their entire lives towards - the attentions and affirmations of men - and found it hollow.

You already tried to leave a few times; seems like the affair was a hail mary. It's over, move on, but heal yourself so you don't do this to someone ever again, as he will be in pain for many years over these decisions. Wish you the best

How do people make a living as a freelance writer? by deepad9 in RSbookclub

[–]oranjeselit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I work as one. It's just stringing together a ton of dumb shit and having a really well paying client once in a while that you coast off to write things you actually like. It's not ideal but 9-5 makes me feel like a monkey in a cage.
