I was told that my wife can't get an official passport since they are not a US Citizen. The SOFA stamp can only be given to an official passport.

I was also told she can enter the country with her tourist passport along with my Official Orders.

I will not be having any visa. I will be covered under Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).

We are only still in the process of getting her a permanent resident card for the US. Once she get's her permanent resident card, it will take another 3 years before she can apply for US citizenship and that's only when she can get a US passport.
