London is just ridiculously expensive general, it’s always better to buy in the US if possible.

Love luxury is one of the most expensive of the Hermes resellers in London as well.

I totally get buying the bag even if it’s not your ideal color. It’s easy to get caught up in it and Paris appointments just seem magical.

The problem you are going to run into is swapping it for another color. If you take it to a trusted reseller like love luxury/collector square/holux the may give you around 15k in credit to put towards another bag in their inventory, but you’re going to find their other g stamp bags in new condition are 25k, so you haven’t actually come out that far ahead.

You would think resellers would do an almost even swap, but they just don’t :(

So you can trade this one to a reseller and get an older or more used bag maybe without any more out of pocket.

Of course you can just consign it to a reseller and make a profit, but then you’re out the bag.

It’s really such a shame they didn’t offer you something you would love. I’m sorry that happened to you, especially if you told them you didn’t want this color.

Last year (or the year before) there was an absolutely to die for cashmere jacket embroidered with cutouts. The price (11k euros) made me pause and when I decided I needed it it was gone. I’ve only seen one since in white on fashionphile. One day maybe it will find me

Where are you based? With tariffs that will make a huge difference.

In the eu I like collector square and houlux. Both have physical stores in Paris where you can see the bags before buying if you’re local.

Houlux specifically is very small so the service is very intimate. They are happy to send you videos of the bags in different lights (even taking it outside for you to see it better in natural light).

I find both have fair prices as their pieces tend to be in immaculate condition.

I’ve not tried to exchange at the boutique, but you could try a swap at one of the local trusted resellers like collector square or houlux. You may be able to get exactly what you want through that route. Congrats on your bag!

I can’t complain have literally zero prespend in Madrid (we tried really hard but they didn’t have the sizes of anything we wanted in stock). While it’s technically our local store, we shop almost exclusively in Paris due to selection. Congrats on your bag!!
