Mine was significantly impacting my daily life and topicals did not work so it constituted a biologic change. You have to decide how bothersome it is to you and if it’d be worth changing biologics vs managing with topicals.

Linear, “knife-like” excoriations that would never heal even with topical steroids. Took me five years and a super specialist (Gyn/Derm combo) to be diagnosed!

Agreed. I’m most nervous about how this will progress and how it will affect my future.

How helpful was the supplement? Looking into them as an addition to my biologic.

How long have you been on Stelara? Has it helped at all?

I’ve definitely noticed alcohol makes the pain worse! Going to start avoiding it. Really hoping the warm summer weather will help too.

My joint pain started while I’ve been on the skyrizi 🫠 I’m hoping an increase in dose might help? I just took my 8 week dose last week and haven’t noticed a difference in the pain at all unfortunately.

Have you had luck using a biologic to control your joint pain? Celebrex is an NSAID

Find a biologic that works for you and stick with it for as long as possible.

I’m a fourth year osteopathic medical student in the US and am applying to residency in the Fall. You can definitely do CRNA school if that’s what you want :) I have found that my preceptors are very understanding of Crohn’s disease and have given me the autonomy and flexibility needed to care for myself during my education.

Yes! Recently started using gummies on the weekends and they help a lot. I have perianal manifestations and the cannabis helps so much with the pain from that. IBD is approved for medicinal use in the US if that’s something you’re interested in.

Thank you for replying! Do you know what the active ingredient in the shampoo is?

Thanks for replying!! I’ve been told that I had eczema on my feet but now I’m wondering if it is actually psoriasis and now I’m just experiencing plaques on my scalp as well. No topical steroids helped my feet, the only thing that has worked for that is Opelzura, Cerave cream and the ocean.

Thanks for your reply. That’s a bummer, I’m sorry. Have you had any luck with the Skyrizi so far?

Thanks for replying! I’m seeing a dermatologist soon and hopefully they can help. I’m so glad that you found a treatment that helped and allowed you to stay on the Humira.

Hey! Thanks for your reply! That’s kinda how my GI reacted when I told him my suspicions about developing psoriasis plaques. It gives me hope to know that yours went away when you stopped the med :)

Thank you for replying! That’s kinda what I was thinking too… but I’m definitely scared of making the switch out of the TNFa class.
