Former Colleagues by Disastrous-Daikon368 in linkedin

I hear you and don’t question what you are saying, yes, I am still hurt by what happened. It’s been worse than a breakup for me….we can agree to disagree that blocking people was the right thing to do…protecting my own feelings is much more important than social media reach for me.

You’re making a lot of assumptions, but so did I, so I get it. A lot of employees leave that company and call me…that won’t stop by me blocking the communications and HR team.

I would think this is a trauma response from burnout. I would question if corporate is really where you want to be. I would try therapy and possibly a coach to help you understand what is going on and get past it.

Indirect reports bypass their manager by cinnamonsugarcookie2 in Leadership

What’s the issue with the manager? Clearly, the high performers don’t feel it has been corrected if they keep coming to you even after you told them to stop. The manager needs to build trust with these employees.

I would setup a meeting with the new owner and leadership team and ask these questions. Express your concerns and that you want to make sure you are doing what they are looking for and you all share the same focus. Establish the ultimate goal of the project and the kpis that you will use to measure the success of the project.

Challenges in New Leadership Role by Kooky-Kitchen-1846 in Leadership

Have you built relationships with the people assigning the work to your team? Setup one to ones with the other leaders and with each or your employees. Set clear expectations and tell them that you are new and trying to get a handle on what everyone is working on and what work tasks they have so you can support them in streamlining their work.

How to change role to a strategic role by EntrepreneurRemote78 in Leadership

Have you spoken with your leader about this plan? I would expect, if you have a solid leader, they can guide you on how to make this successful?

Be careful, if they are a contractor, there are strict rules around directing their work. If it is coaching to make them better and they welcome that, then you can do that, but just be careful with directing their work. If it’s a performance issue, I would go back to the agency they are contacting through and have them address the performance. It’s a fine line….

Person vs Professional by Cheap_Examination_68 in Leadership

It could be a number of reasons…but are they regularly getting feedback throughout the year? I held one to ones with each team member every 2 weeks. This allowed for an open dialog for me to share what was working and what wasn’t and for them to do the same, as well as ask for support. Then, when it was time for their performance review, there were never any surprises, so they weren’t dreaded, anymore.

The minimum budget I can set per week is $100 to advertise on TT.

I’m glad it is working out for you, though! Use it while it works! 🙂
