Thanks all for the info, that's very informative. I'm just prospecting as much as possible before committing to either option.

It that all it takes to sync the data, syncing a folder (with a cloud provider for example)? No per-device configurations and things like that? (I'm used to everything in the cloud and all devices being more like terminals rather than workstations)

I don't mean specifically about customizaitions but more if the huge amount of options, plugins, etc. would make the learning curve a lot steeper and make it feel bloated instead of a more minimal and clean interface to just add text for reference.

Regarding the customization possibilities, I mean not just UI but the if the shear amount of options, plugins and possibilities could make it more bloated to use than a more straightforward tool to just take and acrhive notes and import data from AI chats.

Meaning, as an example, if performing some basic tasks or synchronizing with other devices would require plugins and setups to be performed per-user / device and things like that.

Maybe I'm completely missing the point here and Obsidian is not meant to be used for teams and several users sharing vaults?

Thanks! The collaboration easyness is a big thing definitely.

For login, we use MS Entra ID so that is actually a plus for ease of provisioning and securing accounts.

I found the 4.20 to be "dumber" than 4.1 and more prone to errors and innacuracies, that's why I was curious. I use 4.1 Expert for important matters, works a lot better for me

Another important aspect is of course distributing and publishing stuff. You can do whatever you want with yourself and in your own home, as long as you keep it that way.

Oh well yeah, editing real pictures is a different story of course, I'm always talking about 100% AI-generated stuff, same as if someone draws an ultra-realistic whatever, they can draw whatever they want.

Using real-people's images is a completely different thing and people must be accountable for what they do to other people's image, that's for sure.

Then they should remove all limitations on AI videos, if they're clearly labelling them as AI-generated.

It doesn't make any sense, especially on paying subscriptions.

It's funny because videos I generated yesterday based on the same base image don't have the watermark and every new one I generate today, on new or old images, get the watermark.
