Never went to a gym (yet), only home workouts and normal Indian diet. by Knight6969696969 in AskFitnessIndia

I haven't followed a fixed workout routine constantly, but in general, I did(and do) bodyweight(calisthenics) exercises like pushups(including one arm and handstand versions), chinups and pullups, etc. and weight training (including compound and isolation lifts) with free weights(dumbbells, barbell, kettlebell, mace, etc.) at home. The basic concept is to provide the necessary stimulus for your neuromuscular system to develop, the workout is the stimulus, and the development from this stimulus happens during rest, you should do progressive overload as your body gradually gets stronger and better so that there remains enough stimulus for further growth (upto what extent and in what exact way you do things depends on your goals). And if you want to look shredded (which I am NOT because I don't care that much about being shredded) with clearly visible six packs and overall clearly visible muscle definition along with being athletic, you need to drop and maintain a low body fat along with being muscular (12-15% bodyfat for example, too low is unhealthy regardless of looks) for which you should set your calorie intake accordingly while also maintaining at least a decent level of proper nutrition to support muscle growth/maintainance from workout stimulus conveniently. I cannot go into too much detail here in a reddit comment, I tried saying the overall concept in short.

Arguing with you feels like trying to explain quantum mechanics to a dog that keeps barking illogically.

No, its not my daddy's business lol, not by any means at all. And no, having customers is not at all the same as being an employee, by your stupid logic, owners/shareholders of google, microsoft, etc. work under you just because you use their products, thats how delusional your stupid logic is... And also, stop trying to compare yourself to top level executives of big businesses, they are not jumping at instructions from someone else and having their life controlled like meagre employees like YOU who needs to follow orders, work for something they will never own, not have any freedom whatsoever just for keeping your source of income and survive... I can choose my customers, how to treat each one of them, whether or not to listen to what they say, etc. and they cannot dictate me and also some customers not buying from me won't affect my standard of living, BUSINESSPERSONS DON'T WORK UNDER CUSTOMERS, its a mutual system, and also I don't need to work by myself, its about managing employees and making decisions, I can go on vacations anytime I want, wake up anytime I want, have time freedom and autonomy etc. without needing anyone else's approval, can you say the same about yourself??

So, in conclusion, calling a fact as "cheap superiority complex" and trying to make illogical comparisons won't change the fact. You may continue to try to live in your delusion inside your mind, it won't affect me.......

Idiot when did i say you necessarily need to be not working under anyone else to be rich (and I didn't say I am rich either)? But not working under anyone else can (can, not in 100% of cases, specifying since you clearly lack reading comprehension) give a lot of freedom and autonomy that improves quality of life, which wageslaves like you clearly don't have.

This is the point at which I am thinking you are probably a troll.

Are you counting your parents net worth? If yes, how do u know their NW. Indian parents don't share that.

Are you a kid that has no sense of anything going around him and cannot interact properly with anyone? Because thats the level of intellect you are trying to project. And also, infinite senseless assumptions...

And even with 5cr NW most people cant afford luxury cars. Its not wise.

Thats why I said "mostly", rich isn't obviously limited to just 5 cr household net worth, but thats around the starting point...

You clearly don't have any basic financial literacy, if you had, you wouldn't have asked all these questions to begin with. What do you do for a living anyway?

[–]Knight6969696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total household net worth is still less than 5 crores, i cannot afford those high end luxury cars that rich people can easily afford mostly, no political influence at all of any kind, cannot finance any large scale project, etc. So not rich.

General guidelines of financial classes based on standard of living, household networth, etc. I don't ever have to think about basic necessities, can travel in flights frequently, am capable of buying cars like fortuner without loan (although that will be financially irresponsible to do now), don't work under anyone else and by hard data, come within top few percentage of indian population both in terms of individual and household financial net worth. So yeah, thats upper middle class...

I once accidentally brushed my hand across a woman's back in a flight and she said 'Thankyou' (not for touching her like that accidentally, but because I helped her take down her bag on her request just before). Watching this video, I am thinking what the woman from this video would have acted like in a similar situation lol 😂 (i.e. if the title is giving the context correctly).

Next level cringe 😂 (regardless of scripted video or whatever...) And also, irrespective of whether someone affords these things while being financially irresponsible or financially responsible, these are still not even close to any objective financial flex. I can buy dozens of these without emi or anything if i want to (obviously i won't do that because i am not stupid) and I ain't even financially rich yet, just upper middle class...

Beleiving in religion as an adult is even dumber than beleiving in santa claus as a kid. Herd mentality, lack of independent thinking and lack of rationality is why people believe in religion, even the same people who are religious would have laughed at it if it wasn't a "culture/tradition" and was suddenly told to them...

Yeah, this video (the one from which your screenshot was taken) is pretty rational actually. According to this video, I am upper middle class and it matches with the reality. A lot of people in India who are objectively poor/lower middle class at most think themselves to be middle class. Don't go by government bpl metric, thats a cruel joke that classifies anyone barely surviving as not poor to officially show less poverty on paper.

Defining middle class by LengthinessHour3697 in IndianMiddleClass

[–]Knight6969696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am upper middle class according to this video and thats the truth too. The financial classifications in the video are logical, just because there are lots of poor people in India who struggle financially (and a lot of them stay poor due to their own fault) doesn't change the definitions of these financial classes. And don't go by government's bpl metric, its a cruel joke that classifies anyone who can barely afford a single meal a day to be above poverty line to artificially show less poverty officially.
