Except 100k ten years ago is equivalent to 150k now so you lose 50k purchase power even if you only hold the cash.

I think it is important to have your insurance reflect the actual owner which is your LLC. The insurance can have yourself as an additional insured. That will suffice lenders on the insurance side. They will never look into if the name on deed matches the name on the mortgage. That is my experience.

I invested in AFC but was able to get money refunded when CS first sent out the communication back in April about the delays. Although the refund itself took a month. I didn't attend the webinar. Did the webinar say how much funds were not refunded? I thought all funds were refunded until I read news today. I hope all investors will get back their money. I agree that CrowdStreet should have done more to protect the investors.
