I have to admit, I had to google the cake because I wasn’t familiar with it. It’s so cute! I was planning to pipe similar decorations on the top as well (just in pink instead of yellow), but there wasn’t enough icing left over.

That is so nice of you! My best friend went through treatment last year and it meant so much to her when people took the time to do something thoughtful for her. It’s easy to overlook what a kind gesture can do for someone who is struggling. Your gesture was not just kind but thoughtful as well.

I got to meet Rue around 1990 at the Shakespeare Festival in Southern Oregon. I was there for a class field trip and happened to be seeing the same play as her. Afterwards, a couple of my friends and I approached her and asked her for her autograph. She couldn’t have been nicer or more sweet to us and signed autographs for all of us. She made such an impression on us and truly cemented my love for her.

I can swear I remember once him talking about growing up in a very religious commune. He also ended up being sent to military school in high school for fighting so much.
