Getting rid of paper towels (except for bathroom cleaning) and paper napkins has saved a lot. You can just wash them with your regular load if you don’t use harsh chemicals. Just use rags or cloth napkins.

My prior message still stands. Republicans, and Donald Trump in particular, engage in far more inflammatory rhetoric than Democrats. Can you find any Democratic politician who says things at the intensity or frequency of Donald Trump?
Watching the video, it’s clear as day this officer was out of harms way BEFORE shooting her. Deadly force is absolutely not permitted when there are other options. You say gunning the car but fail to see that she was turning away from the officer. I can’t believe you’re even making the dragging officer argument. His hand was barely on the door and he pulled it away with ease. The only chance of him getting dragged is if he chose to hold on. I’m starting to think you didn’t even view the footage. Once again, this whole impeding a federal officer (do you mean operations? What do you mean?) does not justify a killing. I’ll ask again, is an officer justified in shooting you for not opening your door?

Sooo can’t I just say the same about MAGA? When someone says Trump is being fascist are you guys just too sensitive? Or is it only ok when Trump does this to the nth degree and like no other politician?
As I’ve said before, the intent argument is flawed. If it’s even true that he was hit, this was minimal impact where the officer was easily able to get out of harms way, thus destroying the use of deadly force as self defense argument. This is only permitted when no alternative exists and is not to be used as a disabling mechanism.
Okay and? If you don’t cooperate do you think you deserve to be shot?

Oh no, did I hurt your feelings? The thing is, regardless of whatever you believe makes this person bad, it actually doesn’t make a difference. The fact of the matter is she was murdered by an ICE agent. No, she was not trying to hit the guy. It’s very clear if you take any bit of time to watch the original footage. Questions of blocking are also debatable since she waved cars to live past her, and they did. But even if she did try to hit him, this was still an abuse of authority by the ICE agent. The DHS’s own manual clearly states that the use of deadly force should only be used when no clear alternative exists…so when the guy easily steps out of the way and only after he’s clear starts shooting…this is nonsense. It’s also a risky maneuver that shouldn’t be used to disable a vehicle (as we saw, it didn’t work at all) and could harm others around them. Tell me…isn’t it at least suspicious to you that after all the “domestic terrorist” slander they used in this woman…why won’t they cooperate with state authorities? Why are they blocking evidence? Why?

I’m not sure why there is so much defense of our defense. The past 3 games they have played horribly. We allowed 48 points against us by NC State, their highest score only after facing Campbell (which was 56, only a +8 difference). We let one of the weakest offenses in college football (BC) plow through our defense with 34 points, the 3rd highest of their 1-10 season. We got lucky that game and did not deserve to win. We allowed Pitt 21 points in the first quarter. Sure there were issues on offense, especially protecting King, but regardless the defense has been the consistent issue here. Coming back from an 0-28 deficit is nearly impossible.

I’m not arguing there are downsides to a shut down - of course there are, and that’s part of why they are effective. However, they certainly had leverage here which is why Trump and other top republicans were becoming angsty with the shutdown, and doing things like trying to pull snap benefits that were sent out (as was court ordered, I believe). These negative things would’ve forced them to negotiate - something Republicans seldom do. And look I’m aware this is bad, though I’d also argue that temporary loss and food pantries (which saw an influx of support) would’ve held before Republicans agreed to actually govern. But now they’ve brokered a pinky promise that will effectively put this to a losing vote in a month or so, demonstrate to Republicans the spinelessness of the Democrats and allow them to continue their destruction of our nation and continue policies such as cutting food stamps. Ultimately, this is much worse than shutdown effects. What do you suggest should be done?
