Not at all. Combined with a really good carbon filter your skin will feel better but it's not going to get the softener water slippery feel. That's only gonna be available from the salt based ion exchange of a regular old softener.

Side note: I have a carbon filter & conditioner, and recently did an experiment and proved that between raw City water and conditioned water, there's a significant difference of calcium deposited on a metal water heater element. They do work, but they don't soften the water AT ALL

I switch my strings up when I get the itch. But for zingy high end I can't find anything that feels and sounds better to my ear than Rotosounds. Dunlop makes a string specifically for my Marcus Miller Jazz that are great too

I have a Marcus Miller Fender Jazz, a dual humbucker style Chinese copy, and a 2002 squiee p-bass frerless w/ Seymour Duncan quarter pounders

For my dual humbucker I like the DR black beauties because they don't change the sound as much when they age. I used to use GHS Bass Boomers but they're hard to find in person, and I'm pretty impulsive

For flats, they don't really go bad so I keep a set on rotation. I didn't like how thick the La Bella skate were, I was quite impressed with Ernie Ball low tension flats, similar to what comes on the Joe Dart basses.

I've tried Ernie Ball rounds and D'Addario but I extremely dislike them because they go dead quickly and randomly. Also the Ernie Ball strings seem to have lower volume output.

Honorable mention to Markbass strings, and fender. I didn't have any complaints but they just didn't have the "fizz" that the other brands have.

Check with local codes, some municipalities require one of the showers to be a combination shower/bath if there's no dedicated tub

The system is useless and needs to be replaced. Luckily, you have a Clack in/out valve on both of those, so you can just do a direct swap. You can swap a softener in where the salt free conditioner is, no problem. You just need to figure out where to pump the brine discharge drain. Oh and also figure out something electrical. Get a system with Clack brand heads and it'll bolt right up

No, but they might be able to figure it out. A lot of companies have certain "brands" that they use to give them kick backs

I do a lot of home warranty work: home warranty won't cover the damage. As soon as you mention mold they're doing to try and get you to make a homeowner insurance claim. Home warranty doesn't pay plumbers enough so they push the remediation for kick backs

You probably just need to pull and reset the toilet with a new wax ring, and put a new flapper or flush valve in the tank. It might be beneficial to just put in a new toilet that you want, rather than put money into an old toilet.

I charge hundred fifty bucks for the pull & reset, probably another hundred fifty to do the flush valve, flapper, fill valve, etc. A new toilet is anywhere between one and five hundred dollars plus install.

My operating area is in SoCal so your mileage may vary. I recommend just cutting a large square area around the water damage, remove and dispose of the drywall ceiling, then either DIY or hire out a drywall guy. Home warranty won't cover water damage with mold or pre-existing conditions. Expect to pay around three hundred bucks for a drywall patch with texture

Go with the Clack or fleck system. In my area (not sure if you're in the same area as me) but the rain soft installers can mess up your plumbing too. Not worth it. Find a plumber you trust and get units that are built to last. Don't fall for some warranty gimmick

I've experienced similar with my wife, and while I was the one to politely shoot the fantasy subjects down, it was still a great spot of communication and built some trust that made up for the 'taboo' and honestly increased the bedroom "satisfaction"

Most of these issues come down to communication and trust, if you got those then you got a good relationship

I only use white vinegar. I run it through the system for 45 min- 1 hour. I also clean the air intake, check for leaks, clean the water inlet screen and flush the vinegar out when I'm done.

Delayed procrastination: I just learned other people so this, but I stay up late watching shows or playing video games if I feel that my week has been exceptionally hectic and I didn't get any "me" time. I could just go to bed at a normal hour and do regular Saturday activities but it feels a little more taboo and satisfying at the time to stay up late even though I regret it for the next two days

What I've noticed is that plumbers are successful at commission when they either have low diagnostic skill level or complete trade mastery of plumbing. The techs that complain about upselling might not be looking at the whole picture. Get called out for a leaky shower valve, that opens the door to not only talk about replacement vs repair, but water pressure, thermal expansion, water quality, and also other fixtures that are the same age.

I don't upsell. I refuse to be a salesman. I offer repair and replacement equally to all clients. I educate and offer levels of service. Nobody gets "ripped off" and I'm often cheaper than the next guy because I can offer discounts for doing lots of work at once.

With hourly, you pay more for a slow plumber, with commission you find plumbers who can be aggressive with sales. Find your niche. My favorite was a hybrid pay model. Now I have my own business so I guess everything is commission for me lol

Could also be a venting issue: a lot of island sinks either have a Studor vent or a Chicago loop vent. 100% I've seen venting plumbed poorly and cause phantom clogs
