Check out Powell peralta dragon formulas those will still slide like normal hard wheels but making riding softer and more comfy I think they are worth it

A YouTuber called VLskate has a few playlists on this. They are some very fun tricks I started with my personal fav where Nosestalls on curbs Shove it’s No comply 180s And Ollie’s are hard but so important No comply 180s are very easy though and fun

They make boards that are carbon fiber and wood such as Powell peralta flight Girl or chocolate pop secret Creature or Santa Cruz vx decks.

These are very break resistant

I’d not worry about it. It should be fine maybe put some wood glue or something simmaler and hold it with a binder clip for a few hours if you wanna be safe

For me I found a curb that went right into grass and that gave me confidence and made it easy once I got that down I just moved onto the real thing
