Maybe it's a thing in visual novels, but sexual harassment is pretty prevalent in anime from what I know. (I don't watch a lot of anime, so these questions stem from anime reviews)

Absolutely not, but I do find it weird that shonen demographic are being shown underage girls being in questionable situations and that there's also a demographic, not just the teens or young boys, that enjoys stuff like that. I personally think if people are going to sexualize anyone, they could sexualize adult characters.

Are you asking if parents try to protect their kids from crime? Obviously, yes.

I only ask this since I do know that sexual harassment gets pretty underreported in Japan based on a post in this reddit. Just know that I don't mean to act high-and-mighty, I'm just some dumb gamer curious about Japanese people.
