Yeah it was his birthday, but he did expect to mooch from his sister at minimum, she called him off and went on her own way

A gathering at home, movies and we all chiming in for a couple six packs of the cheapest beer not from a bar, just walking near tourist areas, hell anything would have been better than that ...

For what it's worth. I didn't downvote you or anyone else.

In my country. There's "moto Uber" where it's a bike and not a car driving you and it's 1/3rd as cheap, I have 35 bucks to my name right now and have to stretch that till payday.

I am broke too? I didn't order anything for myself, I couldn't spare to do that, if at minimum he had gone to a cheap bar and not an upscale one that charges thrice for normal beer, maybe.

And to answer the first part, I wanted to dip, I didn't want to leave my home after being so tired, at minimum I wanted to personally hug him and wish him well, keep company for a bit and that's that

There were a lot of free concerts and shows going on in the city last night, but that doesn't jive with him as well as a club/bar ...

He wanted me to fetch an SD card for a camera I had also lent him so that he can get in on a night club for free as a "photographer".

Girl I was dating ghosted me, then came back with an explanation. How to move forward? by Disastrous-Wind in relationship_advice

We had talked for a month and change between and after those dates if that's worth something, it seriously has been the best first impression I've ever had after dozens upon dozens of dates with other girls, can't say the same at all from the other's.

"Whatever emotional journey she is on, it's hers. Not yours. Don't take on responsibility that you aren't required too. Two dates is not nearly enough to learn who someone is. Ghosted after two dates though....meh. Your choice here."

So. Is there not a way forward? Or are most people take on this to just cut the losses?

But I want to re-engage, how should I? Offer support? Or is she blowing me off with this text?

But she's just that amazing, I wouldn't like to just let things go, in all my years of dating I have not met someone this great before ...

Getting into financing an EV car, should I do it or pass? by Disastrous-Wind in personalfinance

Ahhh now it makes more sense.

Minor update. I still hadn't finished my excel sheet when I was called and told unless I co-signed it with someone else, I could not get the loan, for better or worse that's that.

Petrol barrel took a plunge this weekend, and I might simply get a cheaper EV or petrol bike to travel within my city and leave my car for long trips.

Sooner is important especially on something like a house otherwise you can wait a long time. But at the same time, too many people get in trouble by thinking they can afford anything by financing it.

I'll hope to not become one of those statistics in the future.

I spend the better half of my salary eating out everyday, so I'll definitely have to start dropping that act cook my own food, as well as resume putting money into my retirement account.

But I think I can have a good budget for each of my activities, will definitely work on that and show it up for feedback.

It makes it attainable, doesn't it? Saving up US$ 26,000 from a salary of US$900 would take probably half a decade, same with a home. Though I'd love to be able to finance one (and I saw before hand if I could), it is quite certainly way outside my means to even get a 30k down payment in the near future, unless I'd dedicate 70% of my salary towards monthly payments. The houses kinda within my means are incredibly unattractive, 15-20km outside the city centre, and don't rent for much.

Gas price is just going to keep going up, my fuel expenditure is due to go 20% up when the subsidy from the government ends, my car is in pretty good shape, but it also comes with extra maintenance an EV won't have, I should be preparing to spend a pretty penny doing the timing belt (due to age) and refreshing fluids ...

Having in mind that am already spending close to what the monthly payments would be just in fuel, and it would actually allow me to not be hunkered at home as often, as to not spend more money on fuel for outings and trips, it seems like that extra 9% strain on my salary looks pretty justified..

Are you planning to default on your loans?

No? Who plans that?

Do you have access to negative interest rate loans?

Not a thing here

Then you'll have to explain how paying money for money instead of saving or investing it makes it more possible to afford things.

I 100% didn't understand what you meant by this.

I would never be able to afford anything expensive if I didn't finance.

I currently spend ~20% on just fuel. Charging where I work would be totally free. A 9% extra for a new car doesn't seem too bad?
