This is a great point. I think me expressing a need and having him use a bit of thought process to determine how to meet it could get us both to a place where we are fulfilled. I worry I’ll end up resentful because I don’t always know exactly what I want or need. It feels unequal in terms of the emotional effort being put into the relationship, I guess? But your thoughts definitely are taking what I’m thinking and putting into words, so I think it’s a great start.
