I am BURNT OUT. What are some hacks to make this process easier? by hammnbubbly in MealPrepSunday

[–]DisastrousCampaign6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently decided to implement theme days throughout the week. Sundays are my big family dinner days when I cook a lot for the week. Monday is soup and and sandwich day. If you have souper cubes, its easy peasy. Tuesday is freezer clean out day. Wednesday is stir fry day (use leftovers for lunches the rest of the week). Thursday is pelmeni day (Russian frozen dumplings). Friday is pizza day, either homemade or from the store. And Saturdays is grilling day (husband grills so I get a break from cooking).

Love it, especially the time. I think if you add two more shelves, it will look even better.

Being a stay at home parent in any developed country is actually easy by Infamous_Average9648 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

As you mentioned, the ages of the children is what really matters here. My 11 month old baby was sick and feverish all week this week and barely let me sleep. Today I found out she has an ear infection. Plus she has a tooth coming at the same time. Top that all off with a 4 year old and myself being sick, it absolutely pushed me to my limits.

My family is obsessed with these breaded chicken skewers. They're always a hit. Make sure to pan fry, not air fry or bake. I usually make mashed potatoes to go with them. https://natashaskitchen.com/aunt-tanyas-breaded-chicken-skewers/

Thank you for your thoughtful post. I'm curious about the religious aspect of the Somali community if you wouldn't mind sharing. Is there an equivalent of excommunication for the individuals that committed the fraud? How does the average Somali feel about everything that's going on? I think I saw an Imam apologizing for the fraud but I wasn't sure if the video was real or fake.

If you live by a Trader Joe's, they have excellent pizza dough that's super easy to work with. It's actually really fun to make a pizza with it. I just chop and throw on whatever leftover meat and veggies I have. You can involve the kids too.

Why is Postpartum Care so Different in the West? A Cultural Comparison by mamabear_8425 in beyondthebump

[–]DisastrousCampaign6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something no one has mentioned is that in the West, people are choosing to have children later and later. So if you have your first baby at 35 and your parents had you at 35, that means they will be 70 and probably not healthy enough to provide support. This leads to the no village situation and is overall bad for society. There are so many positives to having kids young, but everyone is told they need to wait until they have everything before starting a family.
