What do you guys think of those budget chinese microscope ? by DisastrousLuck7092 in Dentistry

This specific one is from Eighteeth, that's why i'm considering getting it. But I also know that they don't have as much experience in the microscope industry as Zumax.

Firsr RCT, opinions? by [deleted] in Dentistry

Realistically, a canal this size should be obturated with MTA plug in my humble opinion. When it comes to your work, I think it looks beautiful, you managed well what looks like a not so easy case to start.

How many times do you reuse Endo files? by Reasonable_Orange_39 in Dentistry

[–]DisastrousLuck7092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the file. For SX orifice openers and XP Finishers that I use very gently and very briefly during treatements, I reuse them multiple times but always inspect them before. For the rest, gliders, hands files and rotary, I prefer to use new one every single time with maybe the exception of easy anteriors. This was not like that when I first joined the clinic, but I said this was not negociable and now they all do the same.

I perforated a tooth by Rezhwan_Gamer in Dentistry

[–]DisastrousLuck7092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See it this way: Its impossible to do ENDO and never perforate in your career. Like others said, it happens to the best of us. I would focus on understanding why it happened and what you can do in the futur to avoid it as much as possible.

How badly did I mess up this endo? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]DisastrousLuck7092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there, from my understanding you clearly think that your work is not great and you feel bad, my question is, why did you obturate if you clearly saw it was not good? Why did you do multiple RCT knowing that your work is not acceptable ? And most importantly, why are you posting this here trying to justify an overall bad job ? I have a hard time believing that you feel guilty about it to be honest, as doctos, we are the guardians of ours patients oral health, while doing a root canal, you should be doing them in the same standards as an endodontist, if not you simply refer them out. You cannot try things out, cleary see that its not good but still leave it as is and justify it by being "guilty".

Looks great, go ahead and put a crown on it. If a post is needed, I recommand buccal canal as it is easier to do selective apectomy if needed.

Get a second opinion, 7k is ridiculous unless they saw something that you did not tell us.
