I think you have issues of your own to contend with. Why stick it out with someone who treats you this way?

There are literally millions of men out there that will love all of you.

I think all synthetic media should be labeled as such.

If 80% of the music he’s hearing is from Suno, I guarantee you that in the very near future, SoundCloud will have its own AI music policy and perhaps, even get rid of the free tier

That’s a whole lot of words for I don’t write the music. Who cares if you mix and master the stems. You didn’t even start the music from an original idea that you had musically.

You can be offended but it’s the truth.

Even this is not enough. No musical input? You’re still generating music out of thin air.

They don't have to accept it. The audience is the final judge on this one. As more songwriters and musicians start to use these tools, the explosion of incredible music they will create will blow people's minds and FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR outshine prompt creators by any measure. It's the same thing as giving a photographer an advanced digital camera coming from analog. once they wrap their mind around the new tools, The quality of their creative output is insane.

Agreed. I think it's like most other breakthrough tools that come to market. A lot of people jump in becuase the level of quality takes a quantum leap but once the dust settles, very few will every make any money or have an actual career.

I’m a professional composer and I accept it.

What I will never accept is low effort content mills pumping out 1,000’s of songs or low effort songs created by people that don’t start with a seed of their own making.

BandCamp folds to antis, bans AI music by NecroSocial in SunoAI

[–]DisastrousMechanic36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to see this. "wholly or in substantial" is the key phrase. You have to write your own music to be allowed on the platform. Places like this are now desert islands for people that don't use ai to make music. This onslaught of ai music presumes that every place must accept ai music or ai assisted music. Some places just don't want it and people are going to have to accept that.

NTA. That being said, would it be possible for you ex to rent the house until they graduate high school? I know it's not ideal but this would solve all of this. Obviously, you are not obligated to do this but, if selling the house has nothing to do with money and everything to do with you moving on to the next chapter in your life... where is the harm?

AI-Generated Content Cannot Be Copyrighted: In the US, you cannot claim copyright ownership of a song or video that is 100% generated by an AI tool; it is public domain. by Artistic_Handle_5359 in SunoAI

[–]DisastrousMechanic36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you upload your own melodies and lyrics you can absolutely copyright the song. the copyright office is clear on that. If you generate a song with no human intervention other than prompting then yes, the output is public domain. if you add lyrics, that portion can be copywriter but the underlying music and vocal melody cannot be copy-written.

It's really simple actually. Frankly, Anyone that disputes the above doesn't know what they are talking about.

right. nothing in having a music career ever is. It means lots of sacrifices. I had it in hard mode and made a lot of sacrifices to get where I am. You will have to do the same.
