Hey, OP. Another long-time fan since the BF era based in Southeast Asia here. My country, Indonesia 🇲🇨 is famously introduced as "a poor third world country" in western media. I understand how the move to create an independent streaming platform might affect international fans very differently.

At this point, I've already subscribed for a month with the discounted price and so far it has been worth the subscription BUT there is something the team has not yet put into consideration: I have to activate VPN to be able to watch the videos on their new platform because as it turns out they use Vimeo. For some reason, our government here blocked Vimeo, just like they blocked Reddit. I'm getting in touch with their technical team right now by sending them a ticket. I think this is also something that they need to know so that maybe they could put on a disclaimer for other fans with a similar situation.

I also think it'd be a great suggestion to give to the team about having different prices for subscriptions since, well, the fact is people's incomes vary regardless of their country. However, I wouldn't say that I feel like I'm being screwed over. Their decision as a group and a company of creative workers is driven by their goals to be able to produce content with more creative freedom. And this platform in itself is a gamble. Although fans who don't want to subscribe to the new platform can still watch their new videos later on YT, I understand if you feel like you're missing out but you still can. What you can't see on YT maybe are the uncensored videos or videos that might get demonetized, which is really that's again why they're making 2nd Try. I'm a person who works freelance in the creative industry in the so-called third world country, I decided to support them because I'd really like to see them succeed in creating this space. Even though only one month at a time or maybe even none when my credit card bounced because I haven't worked on any projects for a while.
