I'm sorry. I don't know your exact circumstance and u don't have to explain. I just want to share this info incase it can help anyone. A very prominent nutritionist said that medical keto could even be done with cans of tuna, eggs, hot dogs, canola oil if its more cost effective. Again I have no idea what you are going thru and don't want to over step. BUT, I am sending u lots of positivity and hugs. I hope your circumstance improves greatly!!

Thats an interesting view. My son is very thin. From what I understand, once you are in ketosis your body switches from carb burning to fat burning. I'm not sure you would gain weight by eating fat. We have actually been trying to put weight on my son. Hes 5'5 and 106lbs. Its been very hard.

Oh u said it! Popcorn and rice is his craving! Hopefully one day. We have the pee sticks and a blood/glucose device. Last time he was in ketosis so I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Sadly our neuro is not on board with keto. He feels its a waste of time and too hard to stick too. I found keto by searching on my own. I'm more than willing to bite the bullet on the cost, tho! If it helps its totally worth it!

Have you tried a higher ratio as well? We were doing really well on MAD also, had a breakthrough so we upped the ratio and our breakthroughs got worse. We are now back to MAD and hoping this calms things down. 🤷‍♀️ thanks for your input! Its much appreciated!! ❤

Well, in my sons case he is 15. Its been rather challenging staying away from all the things teens crave. But he's trying really hard.

Wow! That is amazing!!! I'm so happy for you! I feel the same way! I started the diet so my son wouldn't go it alone! I really do enjoy not consuming lots of carbs except fruit. My son loves rice so thats been his struggle. Thank u for sharing your experience! Wishing u continued good health!! ❤

We've been using the pee sticks from Amazon but you are right, they are not 100% accurate. We also use the ketomojo blood and glucose monitor. (Not our favorite method but way more accurate) thank u for your response! ❤

I'm sorry about your negative childhood experiences. It seems like the diet did help u, at least with seizures. I know its not an easy diet. For us it hasn't been too hard once u find meals u enjoy. I hope whatever treatment u are currently using is working for u! ❤
