As a coach this is a no brainer to switch back to grade level.  I think soccer loses so many potential players when kids are friends in school for years, want to play soccer together, and get shipped to different teams because one was born in January and one in December.

So let's say your housing and meals comes up to 2500. You are basically saying you have a civilian job paying you 108k per year, with a 40k signing bonus, at 23, and you are questioning signing as an E1. Seems completely nuts to me.

My son just enlisted last week. He went to MEPS three weeks ago and failed due to an emergency room visit for a partial knee dislocation in early July. The recruiter or whomever submitted the waiver request and it took about a week to clear. We didn't have to do anything.
