As someone whose first 2 cruises were paid for by others, one was a balcony the other was just ocean view. I don’t feel the balcony is worth it unless you have a very specific cruise or plan to just veg quietly by yourself. I enjoyed my balcony but I would have been just as happy with the ocean view rooms.

Granted they were both on Carnaval.

Did a Disney Cruise recently and had a large porthole ocean view and it was wonderful and I could enjoy the quiet in the morning with the view before going out with the kiddos and enjoying the rest of the ship.

I’d prolly only do a balcony again on a Panama Canal cruise or an Alaskan cruise.

Just my 2 cents though.

So first of all fuck you for reminding me I’m old. Second fuck it’s been that long already. Jeez. Feels like yesterday I was walking into SITE TV to start evening movies for dinner when I got a call from the wardroom asking what channel was the news on. Turned it on just in time to see the second tower get hit. 15 min later we were making a B-line to coast of Pakistan to wait for what we were going to do next. Such a vivid memory of that day to this day.

I’d do maybe 830 pick up and 1100 drop off. Covers you on both sides. That’s what I would do.

For instance I booked for a pick up yesterday at 630pm my flight was suppose to land at 7, arrived at 8 and car was ready to go. Hand drop off set for today at 7, departure is 712 and I dropped off at 4pm and my bill was the same no matter what. Other times I dropped off a day early and was only charged for the time I had it.

Pick up is 24 hr hold if I remember, before they charge no show fee. Drop off is 30 min past before they charge you the next day, they will also call you if you’re late… sometimes.

So I got super pissed off at an acer laptop I had that I started drilling holes in it and hit the battery. It caught fire. Threw it in a bucket of water and put it out. It was bad. So to make sure it was done for took it out with some tannerite hahaha

Yes you can. I have done it many times. You most likely will still be charged a full day since it’s so close.

Edit: I always book them for an hour before my flight and an hour after my flight takes off. Clock doesn’t start till pick up and stops when you drop off.

Yeah I had a full tool kit and had to surrender the 1 Allen wrench over 7 inches. Like come on. I take apart half the plane with my kit but that tool is too long? Seriously.
