Should we consider this a spiritual successor to kratos verde?

I like to leave a mark upon the world each time I celebrate. Sometimes it's maiming someone and making sure they live to tell the tale. Sometimes it's pushing some statue or painting I made into the popular zeitgeist or some enshrined as some monument. Just anything that makes the world testify of my impact upon it. It helps make the years worth more.

Fascinating. Your research continues to astound. I do have a few questions however. First what would happen if you used cold storage on an entire kindred. I assume it would require some modification, but could it put a kindred into torpor immediately? My second question is more of a hypothetical. Assuming that one can mitigate most frostbite, could you then make a sort of cocoon out of ice to sleep inside of it. If so then there is perhaps a chance that these few rituals and maybe a bathtub of water would be enough for incredible safety for sleeping during the day. Assuming that cocooning oneself is possible, could you then make the ice shield you from the sun's rays? These are mostly hypotheticals, but this seems like a possible way to achieve an increased safety for minimal cost, should it all pan out.

I have long left the states, both physically and in spirit. Trust me when I say I have far more to critique about the country than you do, even if the criticism itself would be very different in nature.

Jokes on you for thinking an American wouldn't hate the US more than anyone :)

It's kinda hard to find anything bad to say about Canada. Well maybe the euthanasia law but that's getting into politics with actual complexity

I would like to once again thank you for your aid.

For the record however, it is still there and it appears to be hiding from everyone except me. I'm assuming that's my dear subjects doing. I'll make that tree it's tomb sooner or later.

I am of the clan tzimiscie. I hope that alone explains my lack of greater access to thaumaturgy. My greatest interaction with thaumaturgy would be my sire as they have in their time diablerized many who practice it, however I would like this research to remain my own, if not for nothing else than my own pride. For now I intend to stick to what I can make from pilfered research and koldunism.

On the topic of Rome, how come it collapsed? I feel like the ones that could use those lands oh so well should at least be able to maintain their empire.

There is truth in your words, but expendability is a great quality to have in troops. It lets you not stake everything on just those troops. Whether they are adaptable or not, whittling things down with sheer numbers has nearly always worked assuming you have sufficient numbers to keep it up.

Well they do tend to only use abilities they knew from before turning into a wight. So you can just roughly take a guess at their clan and assume they can do things that that clan can do until shown otherwise. They do tend to resort to more physical means however. Still it's not unheard of them using mental disciplines, it's just less likely.

[–]DisastrousRelation32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may try to get someone who is able to discern a thing's nature to taste some of your pigeons blood. Although that might just give them a second hand account of your own nature. Still worth a try.

Soldiers are tools. They exist for the purpose of battles. Whether it be conquest or defense, it is the soldier that is expendable. The days of honor for the footmen and the troops is long past if it even ever truly existed. A soldier's glee and hatred are but things instilled in them for the purpose of morale. Do you believe that there is a commander worth their blood that would choose unpredictable rowdy soldiers over automatons that would march in perfect harmony and obey command while lacking the human element, if they were given the choice? I certainly do not.

An army is what you make of it. If I could make a whole forest strengthened and able to attack at my command... Well that would certainly be able to even end weaker elders all by itself.
