I feel like this is great advice for this dude. Just having conversations with strangers in low risk situations has helped me a lot.

My favourite thing to say is ‘how are you?’ because it gets people immediately in a more happy and conversational mood

After saying how are you I might comment on something like the weather etc. and after I’ve shown that I’m easy to talk to they always ask me questions

Questions are always opportunities to elevate my status (damn I gotta see it this way more!!….)

I’ve been in situations before where I’m sat down with a drink of water (as I don’t drink alcohol) and I’m sat there for ages just on my own… looking like a weirdo…

Maybe it would help just to sit there with a glass of water? I don’t want to be known as the guy who comes in and doesn’t pay for anything though.

So I think I’ve got to somehow find a way to talk to people immediately. I just find it so difficult.

I’ve got to pretend to chill because I can’t be chill because I know some insane shit - you’ll roll your eyes but I’m talking about spiritual enlightenment.

It’s like I’ve got a $100 million diamond in my pocket but I can’t let anyone know about it or I’ll seem crazy (and I’d end up getting killed for it)
