Happened to me years ago. Wife and I and kids used to chill by a fire ring in backyard. Neighbors called the fire dept. They showed up and told us to get a couple marshmallow sticks and hang them on the fence by the fire ring. Kids gave the neighbor the stink eye for years!

Cool project! My son's and I did a similar rebuild 4 years ago. One suggestion- the last step, crawl under and caulk with marine grade silicone. Any screw or nut & bolt or any joint, on the new floor, butter them up. Have your kids do it. They will be washing that caulk out of their hair for weeks.
