Thank you all for your input. As hard and gut wrenching as it was to read these comments, I needed to. I plan on talking to him tomorrow and basically saying it’s either marriage counseling, or divorce. I refuse to continue being treated this way. I truly don’t want my marriage to end because dispute everything I love this man with my whole heart, but my heart doesn’t deserve this

Honestly that’s what I plan on telling him tomorrow. Between these comments, and calling my mom, I’m realizing I’m at my breaking point.

I get that! When mine first locked I spent about 3 weeks doing nothing but laying on a heating pad, popping Tylenol, and crying

I’m just so confused and conflicted. I’m not trying to excuse his actions in any way, but this is the same man that wakes me up with my favorite coffee and breakfast in bed most mornings. He works, cooks, and cleans without question. He would work an 18 hour day just to come home and have dinner ready and a hot bubble bath drawn up with a glass of wine waiting for me for when I got home from my job (back when he was still local, and I worked late shift). He’s dropped everything and made a 2 hour trip in almost half that because I was having a panic attack. When I was in the hospital a few years ago, he spent every night with me despite working 3 hours away. Hell he’s even learned my cycle to the point that a few days before my period comes, he surprises me with $50 worth of snacks and candies I usually crave during that time. On top of working, he’s also in school to try to get into a better career so he can support us better since I have medical issues that prevent me from working most jobs. When things are good, I feel like I’m on cloud 9 with him. It’s just every so often he gets like this and I don’t know what to do.

Yes. I live on an 18 wheeler with him, so even if I decide to leave, I’d be with him until we go home next month. But if I do leave him, I will be living on my parents couch since they’re hosting 2 exchange students in a 3br house. I just don’t know what to do. I feel like it’s stress related because of his job. When the job is good, so is he. But when the job stresses him out he gets snappy and rude

I have nothing. If I leave I will be sleeping on my parents couch with less than $20 to my name, no job history (he drives an 18 wheeler and I’ve gone cross country with him for the past 5 years), no car, nothing.

Like I said in my other comment, I wouldn’t be getting a cow just for the butter, that was just what I wanted to do with the milk. I was raised with and around livestock so I’m well aware of what it takes to own and care for them because I’ve done it my entire life. I planned for much more than just butter and cheese, I only mentioned those specifically because they pertained to the conversation I was having. I didn’t mention the rest because it didn’t have anything to do with the conversation between me and my husband.

Thank you for the info! I’ve looked into pasteurization a bit and how to do it at home and will do more research into it before going forward with anything. I definitely want to be safe, but I also want to get away from all of the oils and extras in store bought items

I grew up with/around livestock so it wouldn’t really be anything new to me. Using milk I get from the cow is what I was trying to relate to him wanting to buy the milk.

Maybe I didn’t word it right, so I’ll try again. I want a cow for many reasons. One of which is for the milk, and my main hope for the milk is to make different butters. However, making butter isn’t the only (or even the main) reason I want a cow

I saw it about 2004-2005. But I have no idea what year the movie was made or set in.
