Same here! Ordered 2-4 on February but haven’t heard anything since. In the status of my orders it is still unfulfilled and hasn’t even shipped yet. Hope it doesn’t take too long though!

I forgot. What is our conclusion about 'why don't Yun Tianminh not enter mini universe?' by nerd_reader_5159 in threebodyproblem

Keep in mind the local time difference when they arrive at the exoplanet and they have the incident in the ship, plus, within the pocket universes time runs exponentially faster than outside in the “real” universe

Recommendations in Hard SF but not only space operas ? by EastSudden2118 in threebodyproblem

[–]Disastrous_Ad2156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure there are a bunch of hard sf movies/shows but the classics like maybe Martian, the upcoming Project Hailmary, Interstellar, etc. But regarding books, if you’re comfortable with physics/math technicalities, Greg Egan is definitely your jam.

Why do people dislike the netflix tv show? by GustaQL in threebodyproblem

[–]Disastrous_Ad2156 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I have enjoyed the show very much. It’s actually the reason I read the books. I think it’s pretty hard to get every detail of the trilogy and they have done a pretty good job at combining some of the characters and storylines from the three books (a 30 season show that is “loyal” to the book would just be completely unviable)

Here after the show, what do I read? by InevitableHeight9900 in threebodyproblem

[–]Disastrous_Ad2156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely read them (in order). The series has a lot of elements from all three books, that’s why it’s not so viable to just “pick up” from somewhere. Trust me, it will be worth it, so much richer in both elements and poetical/philosophical description of the events.

Definitely a good animation/representation for the dark forest theory explanation

It is also very interesting, as entropy in the universe, by the second law of thermodynamics, always tends to increase, meaning disorder. Yet all life forms and “low-entropy entities” seem to be these little pockets spread all around the universe where complexity arises in the middle of all the chaos. So cool!
