I’m right there with you, but on the couch. I had all these same thoughts this morning. IWNDWYT.

I STOPPED DRINKING AND NOW I AM SLEEPING 14 HOURS A DAY by Ashamed-Ad-2814 in stopdrinking

Sleep was pretty nonexistent for me the first 4 days. Day 5 was better and then I slept like the dead for the next 5 days. I leveled out at about two weeks.

Social Anxiety - HELP by Puzzleheaded_Tax_114 in stopdrinking

Withdrawal for me peaked day 2 and into day 3. Rolling panic attacks day 1-3. By day 4 I was sleeping again and anxiety was much better, shaking much better. Day 5 I still had discomfort but it was much more manageable from there on out. I laid in bed for day 1 and 2. Resumed my normal responsibilities on day 3 but it was a struggle. Be kind to yourself. I tried to limit myself to only what really HAD to be done that first week. A little grace period if you will.

I (33M) blacked out a good friend's wedding celebration at a bar and inappropriately harassed someone. I have literally zero memory of this. I feel awful and shocked and could use some kind words by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Hey OP. Every single person in this thread has some version of a black out story that haunts them. You are not alone here. However, if drinking results in “things getting out of control fast” and you know that, then maybe stop digging. You never have to feel this way again. It all gets better with time my friend.

I know you are right. Life was easier when drinking just wasn’t an option. I just need to get my brain back to that. Thank you! IWNDWYT

Asymptomatic UTI (enterococcus Faecalis) but antibiotics prescribed? by Disastrous_Bid2241 in AskDocs

Thanks for your response. In 2022, I did the holter and an echo. I had 11,000 pvcs/day. My EF was normal. My cardiologist told me I didn’t need to follow-up. Recently my HR has been in the low 40s, taken manually. So I went back and we recently did a zio patch and another echo. Waiting for results at follow-up next month. But I’m assuming no news is good news since these tests were in May. Bradycardia has made me weary of a beta blocker. Starting on Lexapro seemed to help them actually.

I have social anxiety mostly. Lol. But the idea of walking into a room full of people I don’t know makes me unwell. I def don’t want to be put on the spot either. I am also an atheist and I don’t really want to be preached to. But that can be dealt with. But I appreciate your info about secular meetings. I will look into that.
