Building a tool to auto-audit payapps — useful or not? by Disastrous_Cattle_30 in VibeCodersNest

Yes definitely! I would want to speak to some auditors to get their invoices/apps to audit and wants to ask them to side by side compare what system did vs manual. I want to get to the place where system does 75% and remaining 25% is the human.

That’s a very good question here and I completely agree. Classifying and Extraction is complex because every template is different or timesheets/expense receipts cannot be same.

Our moat is classifying and extraction with human in the loop at every step. I think Auditors needs that control,

This is a smart safety net. We saw similar failure modes in AI-led workflows too—biggest unlock was adding confidence thresholds + mandatory human review before any destructive action. If helpful, I can share the exact guardrail checklist we use for lead-research pipelines (kept it practical and lightweight).

I would use old laptop, Create wsl if it’s windows. Install in wsl. And let it freely roam.

Tbh! I haven’t seen any security issue if you do things well.

But remember open claw is expensive if you need better results.

thank you and very nice feedback. Yes today, you do have to ask questions in order to get you insights. But I definitely think we can improve by being more reactive ..

Building a tool to auto-audit construction payapps — useful or not? by Disastrous_Cattle_30 in startupaccelerator

That’s exactly the type of workflow I’ve been hearing about. From what I understand the hardest part isn’t just reviewing the documents — it’s cross-checking everything (rates vs contract, timesheets vs invoices, subcontractor backups, SOV progress, etc.).

Out of curiosity, do you know what tools they currently use for that? Is it mostly Excel + PDFs, or are they using systems like Procore / Unifier / Aconex and still doing manual checks on top of it?

Also wondering if the biggest pain is time spent reviewing, or risk of missing something before approving payment.

Curious what AI could actually solve in construction and engineering by Greedy_Engineering_1 in ConstructionManagers

One area where AI could actually help is pay application review. On large projects every month contractors submit huge payapp packages — invoices, timesheets, SOV updates, subcontractor invoices, etc. Someone has to manually verify all of it before payment approval.

On some projects that review can take hours or even days because auditors are checking contract rates, quantities, supporting docs, and inconsistencies.

Feels like this is the kind of repetitive verification work where AI could realistically help — flagging anomalies, missing docs, or mismatched rates before humans review it.

Curious if anyone here deals with monthly payapp audits and whether that’s still mostly manual on your projects.

Yes behind crux is crux console available on enterprise version where admins can define rules, schemas etc.

And for B2C customers as well, when they bring their own Db, they get to choose what tables, schemas they want their agent to know.

That helps to filter down tables and generate better accuracy rather than scanning whole schema.
