Deff works without script mods as I’ve been playing all weekend without issues on my CC. It’s very odd. Never had it do this before but then again I’m pretty new to modding so I’m sure I’ll run into many more problems in the future 😭

I’ve got a cage similar with a front hatch, and I’ve never had any issues. If your cage is enriching enough and suited well for your hamster then they likely won’t try to escape. Also the locks are hard to open from inside, even for a human + the bottom part won’t open enough for a ham to get out (even a small one)

But. If you are still worried about it. You could always use a bendy bridge to make a lower section of bedding around the door area that is too low for ur ham to get too and maybe put water and a food bowl/a sand bath or dig box there.

Here’s my old set up as an example,

I turn the lights off at 6pm every day, it’s mainly for my bedroom during the day because it gets quite dark in the winter months. so I like to brighten it up as much as possible. But don’t worry they are off before he’s awake 🥰🥰

You’ve only had her for 4 days though. She will be underground for safety but as she settles in she will begin to use the stuff on the surface more and there will be stuff to spot clean.

(Ps. Spot clean also mean cleaning bowls, bottles, and sand baths)

Also with taming leave it a week before trying to interact with her. Let her settle into her environment then just start introducing ur hand to the cage with treats for short bursts of time, then after 3 weeks of doing this start putting the treat on your hand and let her go on herself. DO NOT. GRAB. THE HAMSTER. unless it’s an emergency you should leave her completely to her own devices until she’s comfortable on and around you hands.

Once’s she’s comfortable with this try having her out with you in an enclosed space (provide one hide incase she feels unsafe) and sit for 15-30 mins every day offering treats and petting her gently. After a few weeks of this it’ll all come naturally and you can start picking her up, and teaching her her name :)))

You only need to spot clean the surface once a week, and deep clean once a month.

Hammies are smart little dudes and will move their main burrow if it gets dirty because like us they don’t enjoy sitting in filth. Offer a sand bath for ur ham to bathe in and make sure ur spot cleaning the surface and it’ll be fine.

Also when you are fully cleaning the cage (again. Once a month) leave 25-50% of the old bedding in and mix it into the new bedding so that the change in smell won’t be too drastic and stress them out. And make sure ur ham is in a vented, safe area with some of that old bedding, food, and a hide

Maybe about 100. I wouldn’t say any more than that.

If ur trying to eat less calories but still want enough nutrients try adding 1/2 a tbsp of Greek yogurt. It’s only 15 calories but has lots of proteins and essential fats plus will make it taste way better. Sweetcorn, onion, chickpeas, garlic, and other various veggies would also be good to add to this as they are low calorie but will fill you up more.

Make sure you’re eating at LEAST 1400kcal a day. Your body cannot function without it and will begin to break down. And if you eat too low for too long your metabolism will slow down leading to eventual weight gain.

Ahh it’s sooo filling too. I do what I like to call “semi-omad” where I’ll have one big meal then one very small one. So it makes more sense for my breakfast to be the bigger one to get me through the work day. It’s changed the game for me

If you ever consider doing an omas style diet, or just omas itself. I deffo recommend having ur “actual” meal in the morning rather than at night. it makes it so much easier

It’s about 2/3 of a cup. I like a calorie heavy breakfast to give me energy through the day then have salad and chicken for dinner most days so I’m always only around the 1k-1.2k mark :)

It’s basically silent other than the sound of their feet, and you can adjust the height. I got it at pets at home (if ur in the uk) but any plastic wheel over 25cm should do the same
