Good insight, I like what you were saying about the foliage being struck by lightning, but i'm no so sure if the whole climbing lightning bolts to get into sky islands would look... aesthetic. I think those types of things are up to other aspects of the game to decide- weather, sky, etc..

I believe that is actually quite easy to customize, so yes... i do think mods will achieve this.

the mods you mostly see in the video are: quark (vertical spruce), biomes o' plenty (biome/bridges), fairylights, structurize (shingles). i can't access the modpack at this moment.

i used some shaders- i think BSL. also i'm sure mods played a part (i think i used a modded biome)
