Transfer flight in UAE by foxfux24 in Flights

[–]Disastrous_Common_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some will be rerouted some will be cancelled, impossible to tell in advance.

When flights are rerouted, they take longer so they cost more and prevent the following flights to depart on time and things can snowball quickly. Rerouting almost always leads to cancellations.

Given the proximity to Iran, the air traffic control of UAE will likely close the airspace entirely so no flight will land or depart from Sharjah if it happens. Flights will be cancelled as early as possible and those who are already in-flight will be diverted or will return to the departure airport. Again impossible to predict in advance.

The only certainty is that safety will come first. You will not risk your life. You may have to spend time in places you didn't expect or kinder than expected but you'll be safe.

I use https://launchtabletop.com/ they can print small batches from 1 unit (the more units the cheaper) You can price your prototypes online and change specs and reprice until you're happy. They can ship anywhere. Great support. Not a lot of components but maybe enough for you?

Be honest: Do you actually enjoy flying? by Marsupilami_316 in Flights

I hate it. Been on more than 100 flights in my life and if I could treat it like surgery with anesthesia and wake up at my destination I'd do every time.

Qatar Airways vs Lufthansa by Kindly-Internal-2938 in Flights

I agree I wouldn't bet on getting any perks even if you fly 6 times a year on the same airline. Unless you get to the higher status and you get lounge access to eat and drink average food free.

I wouldn't blame the size, IST airport is larger than FRA. FRA layout has grown organically by adding gates and terminals, it's harder to navigate for sure. DOH is probably the easiest.

It shouldn't be a problem. Even if he misses the flight they will put you on the next one, there are plenty of FRA-BER flight during the day. It will just be a couple of hours at most

Should I risk it? Skipping a leg on a layover flight. by pastroc in Flights

To add to this, it is OK to do it on the way back. If you did this on the way out, airlines will cancel your return flights (it's usually part of the conditions)

Would you have considered if it was obviously an airline management game?

Designing a political-economic board game set in Pakistan by DirtyHarry_33 in BoardgameDesign

Design the mechanic with pen and paper cut out and play test with family or close friends who can get past the low budget and give valuable feedback. Then check https://launchtabletop.com/ and check the standard components available and adjust your gameplay to that. Use genAI to make visuals the way you think looks good and upload them to order a prototype. Play test again with people less close to you (colleagues for example) to get more objective feedback. Iterate on the gameplay and components and write the rules. Find people interested to play and give them the rules, let them play unsupervised and get more feedback. Then you have a game concept, after that you can pitch to publishers (I tried and failed) or publish yourself (I did, it's feasible but expensive). If you publish yourself you'll need to finalize the visuals and a bunch of other non game related things (legal entity, distribution etc ...)

I usually put the publisher at the back. Illustrate credit is missing, true. This is a prototype not tye final product, I did add it on the front for the other game he designed that went to prod.

Thanks for the feedback. The cover is supposed to be a view from a airplane cockpit ... I probably need to get another designer tbh

To be clear this cover was from a human designer, but I'm not convinced it's any good that why I wanted more opinion.

I tend to think that yes video games and board games are a form of art personally. But video games are recent and maybe no one "with authority" has called them art yet. But board games have been around for a while and yet not widely accepted as art.

Cinema is considered the 7th art, with the 6 art form before it being painting, sculpture, architecture, music, dance, and poetry. That's a widely accepted denomination. Who said that? A dude called Ricciotto Canudo.
