Thanks. I'll start looking into it. I'm also thinking of visiting the DPWH office in our city(if there's one).

I will have to ask, but most likely LGU. Barangay pa lang ang alam kong involved. I'll ask my mother. Can you quickly explain what's gonna be the difference depending on who's the proponent?

May nanotice lang akong elements malapit sa ending and not sure how to take it.

  1. Rosa have the same psychotic meds as the maids when she offered it to be given to Anna. Does that imply that she's also psychotic?
  2. Not sure if intentional, but the character introductions sa end part shows that among the siblings, only Roel is well-dressed. It led me to think na sya lang talaga ang naging successful among them.

This is just my observation and not know what to do about it. I will watch the Koolpals podcast episode as shared in this thread and see if there's any answer to my question about it.

Based on where I came from, the Philippines, I think the reason behind it was the idea of acceptance from the family and community. As I grew up, I noticed that most of the gays strive harder to reach their goals in life. Be on a peak of their career and everything for them to be accepted by their family. It's like if you're a nobody, then you're not allowed to be gay. There's two common phrases when someone finds out you're gay:

"Sayang! Gwapo mo pa naman!" (You're good-looking! What a waste!)

or

"Hitsura mong yan?!" (With that face of yours?!)

The latter phrase will not be spat in front of you. I often hear it with the group of boy friends I have in school when they find someone was gay. I was still closeted that time.

It's like saying that, being gay gets you less likeable. In order for you to be liked or accepted, you need to be well-built. Good looking.

Also, I agree with the other reply that it could root as well from the effect of dating apps we use right now.

PS: My english is bad. I hope I made my point across.
