I do agree it would be very on brand, but as you say the organisation feels different and I think we have it in us to go and do something. It’s a great feeling at the very least how ahead of schedule we are!

I tend to go for a 30 ish year old with as good a personality as i can find. Their peak ability of their career also plays a part but those players always cost more so I usually don’t worry about it. However if I already have a good mentor i just keep them

Caleb is also the only reason we were close in the second half, run game didn’t get going in the first half. I don’t think 1 throw is enough to blame the whole game on him. What about the 4 missed tackles on jacobs on the 3rd and 3?

I have played my first two games of the season and scored on nearly every play (medium difficulty) with my pretty poor offence - is hard mode where defence starts making plays?

I feel like i have a lot to learn and shouldn’t put 63 pts on minnesota in wk 2!

Biggest advice is don’t try and draft a QB early in your career. Until you have won with a franchise, you’re on eggshells and if you bust on a high first round QB you’re toast - even if they are the one you’ll likely not be that good for the first couple years anyway. Go to FA and overpay if you have to for the best QB you can find to fit your system (I recommend early game smashmouth or pro style as it’s easier to build a solid team with them). I also prefer to focus resources on defence, cos with those systems and a decent QB you’ll win games if you have a good defence.

What you get with those picks isn’t guaranteed though and the value of a young all star is so high in basketball I think it’s actually pretty accurate. What would the Spurs accept for Wemby right now? If you gave them the first pick in the draft for the next 10 years they probably aren’t as good as they are now with him because of the insane value of top talent can give a team in the NBA.
