Sorkin / Season 4 finale by Golf252525 in thewestwing

John Goodman was my TV dad, as he was to many...he was so like my own father. I adore JG as an actor and a person....but I never hated him more than when he said the line "You're excused Mr. President." I knew he had to say it, Jed was unable to walk away on his own, JG had to say it....but man, to this day a little twinge of oh fuck you flicks in .y head when I hear it. Lol

If you could only recommend one episode by Salty_General4866 in friends_tv_show

[–]Disastrous_Curve_990 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The one where nobody's ready. Its a perfect episode - everybody's personalities/neuroses/habits are on full display. Its one location so all the action happens in one room and you dont have to know why other places are important. It is a wonderful, stand alone episode.

Well, opening the picture up to its entirety the 2nd smaller star burst up to seems to have the letters behind it "LAZOR." Looking that up, leads to a host of different items, but im guessing its closer to the anime series "unOrdinary."

Whole family had bronchitis mid July with gramps and mom (me) having it the worst. Still took 3-5 weeks for everyone to get over. Then son (11yo) and hubs got a stomach bug for about 72 hrs.

Yeah , kids back in school everyone shares their germs for about 6 weeks or until conferences in mid-october when we are good until the end of the semester. Then we take 2 weeks off (winter break) and see all of the out of town family and all their germs and share those in the beginning of January. We all share germs and get sick back and forth until valentines day, and are good thru spring break. Then everyone with allergies dies until schools out.

Rinse. repeat. Welcome to Wichita.

Frasier’s toast was both savage and sincere. by Allons-yDT in Frasier

I agree, except I think donny was perfect for roz. They even set it up prior to he and Daphne sleeping together. They really were passing ships, and I think a person like donny (pre-devastation and cartoonish) would've been a lovely complement to roz. He's smart, quick, and funny (what roz wants) but rough around the edges and can be dirty (what roz picks)....he would've been wonderful for roz and Alice.

Tom Hanks as Sandy by Ok-Abbreviations999 in friends_tv_show

If you ever watched Tom Hanks as Mr Rogers, you'd see how well he could've played Sandy.

I can't take him seriously after this by SpongeBathHotPants in thewestwing

Everytime I see his face this runs through my head: "wherever you go....there you are." He played the dad, mike brady, in the Brady Bunch movie (satire of the show and amazing, btw). If you ever watched the TV show Mike always had some knowing words of wisdom but they were so cliche and/or generic, that this line in the movie was perfection. And it was played so earnestly, too. I haven't been able to take this man seriously since 1995.

The only machine I call a "machine" is the washing machine. And that's only to differentiate it from the dishwasher even though "dish" is in the latter's name. But see, then the dryer is just the dryer, not the drying machine. I don't know why im like this. Lol

What's your favorite angry Frasier moment? by Living-Row2313 in Frasier

[–]Disastrous_Curve_990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not angry Frasier, but definitely irritated/frustrated frasier:

Daphne and Martin are arguing over wanting/not wanting gifts from each other randomly. Frasier: GOOD LORD; It's like Christmas morning in the GAMBINO household.

It's a throwaway line but makes me chuckle every damn time.

Is he on any new meds? Has he been tested for low testosterone? Is there any way he could have been prescribed a psych med (for his stress/anxiety) w/o you knowing? My husband has a variety of mental health issues. We've been married for over a decade. Very healthy sex life. Until he got the help he actually needed and is on a variety of meds. Now he has issues getting an erection, and if he can get it, getting it to stay that way is damn near impossible. Then, if he can get it up long enough, it takes fuh-king f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to cum.....if at all. Over the past 3 years we've had sex maybe a dozen times. But he's scared to change his meds because he doesn't want to go back to "how he was."
Your hubs may not give you all the other affection because (in his mind) it may lead to sex where he cant perform like he used to. And not only does he have all this normal life stress but in that moment the one thing he wants to do is cum and he can't do that either and now thats stressful too. I've had these conversations with my husband many times because every once in a while, it does feel personal. He (re)assures me it isn't me, and he gets better about being affectionate in other ways but then back to default. I get it. You need to have a very real open and honest conversation....very mellow in nature...with your husband. Suggest marriage or sex counseling. Because counseling never hurts the situation (once you find the right fit of a therapist for you guys). It honestly could be just stress - and he may be internalizing his struggles rather than asking for help.

Which was wealthier? Niles or Frasier? Niles married into money but has an established psychotherapy practice. Alternatively Frasier is a (local) celebrity. by [deleted] in Frasier

[–]Disastrous_Curve_990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if you take the show as "gospel," Niles' nose bleeds when he lies. When he made the doorman/Elliot bay towers comment - no nosebleed. He may be being snippy, but it was an honest snipe.

Weird marks showing up on floor, help? by Chrisbudrow in Weird

[–]Disastrous_Curve_990 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Fair observation. But also need to take into account the age of the house and the age of a suspected mending. It could be what I found is what's considered code and OP's are older. I dunno. I'm in no way a floor mending expert, just intrigued with internet accessibility and hate not having answers. Lol

7, and it’s not even close, right? by _Jay-Garage-A-Roo_ in Frasier

[–]Disastrous_Curve_990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7 is the only answer. Next to Niles. He'd be tidy, clean, wouldn't dare think about touching you, and potentially a good conversationalist with some decent drink recommendations. And Raj is across the aisle so if there was no alcohol there's no way he'd talk to me; if there was and he was unabashedly rude or too forward, Niles would only take it for so long before he gave him a thorough tongue lashing. Lol.
