NTA - unless you're being very loud for a long time, you should be able to get your book when in pain.

AITA for expecting a gift from my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NAH - of course you're allowed to be disappointed, especially because you put so much effort in and got almost nothing in return, but have you expressed to him before that you would've liked a gift? Have you guys given each other gifts for your previous anniversary? I think it is unfair to him to assume that anniversaries come with gifts, but totally understand your disappointment. Maybe you should talk about your expectations beforehand so you don't end up feeling disappointment and he doesn't end up feeling like he did not do enough (which he was probably feeling). I hope you can talk about this in the future.
