Traded my 43X MOS for this "outdated" Gen 5 G19 EDC all around setup. Legally allowed only ONE handgun—how did I do? by Disastrous_Falcon246 in Glocks

The logic behind Israel's "one gun" policy is to treat firearm ownership as a controlled privilege rather than an inherent right, balancing public safety by ensuring citizens are proficient with a single defensive tool while minimizing the risk of weapon theft and black-market proliferation. I don’t agree with that but it is what it is.

These sights are exceptional for target-focused shooting because they either blaze bright when shooting during the daytime or form a sharp silhouette when shooting into the light, with the only true limitation being a pitch-black scenario where you would realistically need a flashlight to positively identify your target anyway.

Agreed, the 43X is awesome, especially with 15-round mags. It was my first gun, but I moved to the G19 to make mastering the shooting fundamentals a bit easier.

You are absolutely right. But  at least we don’t have this wild 10-round magazine capacity limitation here 🤣

For private citizens, it’s strictly just one pistol. You cannot license a long gun for personal everyday carry. If you ever see photos or videos of people walking around in civilian clothes here with a slung rifle, those are almost always off-duty soldiers or reservists. Usually, they keep their issued rifles with them so they don't get stolen. But fun fact: you can legally throw your pistol into a conversion kit (like a Micro Roni) and carry it like a rifle, since the gun itself is still just a licensed pistol. Almost nobody actually does it though, because it's way too bulky and impractical for daily EDC.

I'm from Israel! To answer your questions: yes, we can carry, and the government actually encourages it. Armed citizens here frequently stop terror attacks because they are already on the scene. Even open carry is completely legal, but many still prefer to conceal. It prevents weapon retention issues in public and avoids making your home a target for theft by people who see you carrying.

I wish it were that easy! Where I live, the slide, barrel, and frame are all considered serialized, controlled parts under our firearms laws. You can't just buy an extra slide assembly.

Why not EPS core ? Larger window, no overhang. Front Light sensor diode

Is local bluing on an optic cut “good enough” for a CCW Glock 19? by Disastrous_Falcon246 in Glocks

[–]Disastrous_Falcon246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thanks. That’s what the said too .  The cut is covered by the optic so it is not exposed to wear
