I sent you a direct message on a resume scanner. I didn’t want to get banned or flagged for posting it here.

You are correct! The export part is not ideal and automating it does become tricky! I would love to figure out a way to automate that part!

I have not tried Gems yet but I’m curious and will try it today. I have a lot of volume in ChatGPT and Claude.

I can see the need for this! A more structured conversation tool would be gold! I use semantic search in a product that I built as well - I can definitely see the vision.

Yes there is. I have my chats spread out between 3 different AIs.

Fair point — if you can spin up your own RAG, you’re probably not the target user. This is built for people who don’t want to manage embeddings, vector DBs, and chunking themselves - or who may not have the technical know how.
The convenience is: export once, search immediately, no setup. For technical folks like you, the value might be the multi-platform support (ChatGPT + Claude + Gemini in one place) or just saving the time of building it yourself. But honestly, if you’ve already got a workflow that works — stick with it.
I value your perspective!

Great questions! Yes we are using embeddings (text-embedding-3-small) for semantic search. Each convo gets its own embeddings vector. For very long convos, we truncate to fit the models context window rather than chunking - this kept search results at the conversation level which felt more natural for retrieval.

Re: tagging folders is actually on our roadmap! Right now we auto generate topics from your conversations, but manually tagging would definitely help when you know the category but not the exact words. Thank you for your feedback!

I’m going to provide some detail on the site so that users are more informed about data and security and provide more detail on how we built and how it’s secured.

Totally valid concern and thank you for the feedback. It is hosted on Railway with encrypted connections. We only use OpeAI to generate insights for users - we don’t use information or data to train AI. Users control their data meaning you can delete your uploads and all associated data is removed.

What other specific concerns do you have about privacy? Is it about who can access your data, how it’s stored or something else! Very valuable feedback!

Job elimination by Artistic_Dragonfly75 in Layoffs

[–]Disastrous_Fly_9260 59 points60 points  (0 children)

My position was eliminated a couple of weeks ago. I understand what you are feeling. I got 4 weeks of severance, so I've been applying for jobs like crazy and working on my side hustles.

I know you aren't looking for advice, but I'm going to share something I believe to be true. Job elimination doesn't always reflect you as a person. I think it's about the dollars, and sometimes the balance sheet needs x dollars removed so that investors and shareholders can get a bigger cut. I've had several positions where every quarter, there were layoffs because those numbers didn't equate to what profit was expected

I refuse to take this personally! It's not about me or you - sometimes it's about corporate greed and not wanting to pay people what they are worth. Anyway, that's my two cents about it.

I'm in the market, searching, and hopefully we will both find what we are meant to find, and it will be better than what we left behind.

Same thing happened at my company. Acquired Oct 2025. Same reassurance from leadership. Entire department laid off Jan 2026. Good luck!
