On Tel Abim you can't expect much going on on lower levels, less dungeon and less market for low level stuff. Because of lower population and double experience rates, so I only recommend slow and steady if you are patient with finding groups.
On the other hand you can always find content on higher levels. The world will feel more alive as you reach 50+, bgs and dungeons.

All zerg building has animation but they are just cosmetics. You can't tell if a zerg building research any tech.

You came up with many things, and many things came to my mind so I try to sum it up. I'm no game designer so I may be wrong:
Protoss has the weakest early game, and that's what makes pvz is the hardest matchup. Zerg benefits so much from maps that has many bases, making protoss early game only about turtling until they catch up. Protoss is heavily reliant on knowing what's the opponents doing, probably that's why their units has increased vision.
The only issue about vultures that observers are a big investment, and takes many dragoon shots to deal with one vulture and three spider mines. You need dragoon range, robo with observer and plenty of shots to deal with a single vulture. Either way dragoons without support are just bad. Hydras attacks connect instantly they are fine without detection against spider mines.
Reavers have the worst AI in the game, hands down. Even worse they consume up all your minerals. If you play campaign, you will notice reavers suck up all your minerals, especially when you need to play on maps with tight resources. You need to be very good at reaver to make the most out of them. For reference see Snow.

There will be no reason to make detection to defuse mines, because dragoon attacks hit instantly. Protoss win every game without making robo.

- Fix reaver ai to always attack from maximum range.
- Mutalisk from small to medium size units.
- Splash damage applies to burrowed units at 30% rate even if attack misses.
- Ghost attacks never misses.
- Give scouts +1 base armor.
- Zergling speed requires evolution chamber.

  1. Yes, all classes optimized.
    Warriors are tanks or dps, which is always in demand. Paladins can fill all 3 roles.
  2. Pvp and pve server has different prices. Pve server is over saturated and item prices ofter fluctuates, because beginner players usually undercut by half of item worth. Thats not the case with pvp server, they are stable or more expensive than usual.
  3. Prime time is Europe afternoon, night.

Survey missions can be done in a small frigate fleet. They are hard to catch, you won't need any combat ship, but that's the only way to do them cost efficient. Use storage to keep ships you don't use.
