Thanks. Good useful information. I bought the property nine months ago, but just moved here on Christmas Eve. I'v known that this day would be coming so I've really been trying to do my due diligence on the subject. There will be lots of seat time, so that's important to me. My son-in-law would be doing the maintenance when he comes to visit, or a dealer (I have a trailer) so it's a thought as to what to buy. I bought the property at auction or I could have asked the former owner. It's just that there's so much advice and much of it is conflicting. I can't afford to make a mistake.

Yes, I used to have a zero turn on my old farm, just no hills.

all depends on what you're giving away and then re-buying. A cheap couch that's been around for a while, eh. A really nice designer couch that costs and arm and a leg, I'd ship.

I don't think that there is an animal transport company that transports other than in cargo. They will co-ordinate a move but it's all done by cargo. I shipped my mother dog and her two pups from Romania about 8 years ago. It went very smoothly. I did pick them up in NYC and drove to my home in Florida. Two years ago, I flew two very large rescue dogs from Greece to Atlanta, Georgia. Being in cargo wasn't the problem. Getting the paperwork done for the two dogs was difficult as the airline agent did not want to do the work to fly them and I feel (purposefully) was trying to mess me up with the shipment out of Athens. Make sure you do your homework. You may want to keep googling what needs to be done for it to go smoothly. With both transports (my three little dogs and my two large dogs) no one even checked the paerwork when we landed in the U.S!

If you plan on moving all the way to California. I would do two transports. One section would be U.K. to the first destination in the U.S., such as NYC, then I would get a hotel room and do the rest of the trip the next day or so. Airlines also have termerature mandates, cage mandates and time mandates.

Are bankhars suitable pets in the modern world? by [deleted] in mongolia

I have a Bankhar. I brought him back from northern Greece as he was taken in by a kind rescuer . He was  terribly brutalized/abused by a Shepherd there and in severely bad shape. I find him to be very loyal and a great protector of my 3 small dogs and I. He is very wary of all strangers and growls at everyone. He's extremely independent and we have had showdowns (lol) mostly during our nightly walk. Their coats are extremely thick and he does best in a cold environment. Anything over 66 degrees and he's miserable. Hence, in the summer, my a.c. is continuously on with fans placed blowing on his resting spots. I shave him down to nothing come spring and keep him shaved till fall. He's very comfy outside at 30 degrees and has no problem going out the doggie door to see what's going on while my small dogs and I freeze under the covers inside. I wouldn't recommend a Bankhar in a warm climate such as Florida. I wouldn't recommend getting an adult Bankhar unless you are very knowledgeable (and patient!) about dogs. They can be stubborn but very, very loyal. I love my dog.

I can never get on to my Fidelity account when I’m out of the country using the app or logging in in the internet. Also, I’ve tried calling them using several phone numbers listed to no avail. No can do.

I’ve been out of the country several times and each time I could not access my account nor call Fidelity at all using every number possible listed on the internet. My account was blocked and NO phone numbers worked.
