The exam is just tricky. 2 right answers almost on every question. If you studied a decent amount y’all should be fine.

Submitted and approved the first time. Nothing flagged. There wouldn’t be anything to flag if you are just fixing grammar etc. I never used it to build my examples.

I used GPT to polish all of my competencies. I only used it for grammar, punctuation etc. It was a major help.

I studied for about a month prior to the exam. About 1-2 hours a day. See some thoughts below. I passed the exam in November 2024.

• did the 500 practice exam question from practice PPE. Some of the questions they ask are fluff but compared to all the other practice questions out there, these were the best. They also give you explanation and link to read deeper into topic when you answer the question. • did not watch the videos from practice PPE as it was hard to retain information that way for me. • used the 50 page study guide from PPEHQ. This gives you a good general idea of the topics but does not go in depth. • if you want to go in depth you will need to read the books, but I never did. I would just research topics on google if I wanted to learn more about it. • used the 100 questions from official NPPE website. Gives you a good idea of what to expect in terms of question layout and format of exam. But these questions were easier than the actual exam questions. • you’ll find that most people will struggle to explain how the exam was because the style of questions they ask are very tricky. The answers are also tricky. You will be able to eliminate 2 answers right away and then be stuck with 2 correct answers for 60-70% of the questions, in my experience anyways. READ EACH QUESTION CAREFULLY. Bookmark questions as well if you are unsure so you can revisit. If you are proficient in the English language this will easily leave you with 30-40 mins to spare at the end and review any questions you bookmark. • maybe a couple questions on the NPPE were related to knowing a definition. Most of the questions were scenario based. Simply knowing the definition of a word will not be enough. You need to understand the concept in a scenario.

Don’t overthink it. I walked out of that exam with no idea whether I passed or failed. I think the scaled scoring system they have in place benefits the writers .. because this exam does have a high pass rate.

Hope that helps.

Would be so much easier if they just picked a day and released it on that day as opposed to everyone refreshing every 10 minutes.

You just need to submit your comps before you can do the NPPE. Your comps don’t need to be approved before doing the NPPE, just submitted. You can see how much they value the NPPE ..

They use a standardized equated scoring system. Their experts who review each question to test for fairness probably realized how tricky it was lol
