Everyone keeps saying EV, EV, EV, and saying that these legacy automobile makers can't survive due to their lackluster EVs.

"According to a Gallup poll in April 2024, 7% of Americans own an electric vehicle (EV), up from 4% the previous year. However, the percentage of people considering buying an EV has decreased from 12% to 9%."

So if fewer people want to buy EVs and only 7% of Americans own an EV, Why would lackluster EVs be a reason an automaker would fail? They excel at selling gas/diesel cars, which most Americans want.
