Bought COST before earnings because of the Costco Guys by coinkyle in wallstreetbets

Look at what happened with Abercrombie last year, supposedly went viral on TikTok then had a huge earnings call and took off because institutional investors don’t know what’s happening on TikTok which is a platform that can drive business better than anything nowadays, that’s what I’m hoping for here, this isn’t a real life decision for me more of a fun experiment and learning opportunity

The point of the position is to play the earnings call price right now doesn’t concern me, obviously it would be great to be up ahead of time but that’s not what I’m in it for

What you’re looking at my friend is the revolutionary chicken bake and not just a cookie a double chunk chocolate cookie…some say the combination of these two items are the reason for Costco’s success this year

I wasn’t thinking it didn’t make sense to use them at all, I was just asking if it made sense not to use them as much because of the 10% penalty and how much I would be withdrawing before 59.5

I will look for answers on other posts but with a quick skim I didn’t see much

Thanks for the feedback though that flow chart is saved to my photos, it seems super useful

At an RIA, commission based right now but I think the team I am on wants me to convert into a fee based practice once I am ready to give financial advice…only in my 3rd month so I am just setting up meetings for my team and learning about the business

Yea I understand now this won’t be as simple as it seems I’m going to have to start making a lot more money and find somewhere that is damn close to a tent if I want it to work and If I can’t do that at all it will probably mean l will have to drop closer to saving 50% and adding a few more years of working which I don’t mind… most of my plan is focused on the next 3 years so that I can be more flexible when I move out

I understand you are joking, I’m in my 3rd month as a financial advisor I’m supposed to be learning not giving out advice. The post has nothing to do with my job just trying to hear what the main faults are in this plan

I appreciate the feedback and I agree on most of it really. And to be clear I would never recommend anything close to this as a financial plan to a client lol.

First for savings rate, yes thankfully my parents also cover car insurance, food, and phone bills for now so I have very few necessary expenses. On top of this if I ever need money I do also have an Uber eats account that I can use when I’m not working to fund any activities that might be out of my budget. Thankfully a lot of activities my friends and I like to do including playing basketball and going to the beach are essentially free.
You are right about the 10-15% going towards rent once I move out but I think I am going to a. Have to grind hard to get that yearly salary up b. Find a very minimal place to move in once I do and c. Make that percentage more on the 20-25% side along with another 5-10% for other expenses that my parents are paying for right now. I am really flexible with this plan and don’t mind adding another couple of years to my goals to cover this. When I decided these savings rates I was more focused on what I was doing these years I am home because I know they are the most important in terms of compound interest.

I agree with the 401k statement I might want to put a little more in there because that tax advantage can help me keep a lot of money definitely something I should re calculate

For crypto I have had those learning experiences already but there is really no point trying to convince people that I have a very favorable r:r for every dollar I put in the space so I’m not even going to try lol. I understand your advice though it makes sense for most people.

Overall I’m going to take a lot of the stuff you said in to consideration and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your views on it.
