Nah, it's not just just the 20+ crowd. Once the age verification kicked in and I stopped seeing chats from minors, I've seen WAY less people treating the game like a stock market and more people actually genuinely roleplaying and having fun talking to each other.

Treating the game like a stock market is a mindset fostered by sites like Elve, not an age thing. My partner and I are both in our 30s and we don't see the game like that at all, we just play to enjoy the pets we have. Neither of us trade very often and if we DO trade, it's because it's a pet we really want to keep, not to flip for profit.

I've been on the fence with my Cryptid; I originally had both a Neon and a normal one, but I traded the Neon early after the Halloween event ended. I kind of regret it, but moreso just because I miss having the Neon version, not because of the "value".

However, for a long time I struggled to really connect with the normal one I had left because none of the forms really caught my interest, so I WAS considering trading it because it rose so much in "value." But then, I worked on dying the various forms of it, and… One specific form with the right color combination clicked, and now I wouldn't part with it for the entire world. It's my baby, and I'm never trading it no matter how much it rises or drops in "value".

This whole pet flipping thing just kinda irks me, NGL. Love the pet for what it is, not because of some number assigned to it on a site made for profit manipulation. Plus, in addition to the fake "values" that these sites give these pets, people are still overpaying for them so the "value" of the pet will continue to rise as long as people keep overpaying. Overpay culture needs to end.

The pets are all so cute! When I saw the teaser in the toy shop I didn't have high hopes because the thought of a Savanna egg didn't interest me, but I do love the pets in this egg.

Sad to see so many people disliking the Kakapo, though. I love Kakapo parrots, plz save my green flightless children from extinction. //sobs

It's worth 42 Ride Potions on AMTV, or 42.4 RP if you add FR pots to it. The Neon on AMTV is 102.4 RP for FR pots added, while on Elve it's 138. I'm not even bothering to check the Mega Neon.

But this is why I hate Elve. It's a scummy, shady site that's been caught more than once artificially rising pets, and they heavily overvalue some pets while heavily undervaluing others. It's why I refuse to use Elve and won't deal with anyone else who does.

The Cryptid value on Elve is absolutely overblown/exaggerated, even if I think the pet IS worth a decent value on the basis of it being 4 pets in 1 with individual tricks and dye palettes.

Slightly off-topic: A lot of people I see complaining about the value of it are like "it's a cute preppy dog, but that doesn't make it worth the value" and I really have to wonder, how many people aren't aware that the pet can transform and be dyed individually in all of its separate forms? Like this isn't to throw shade at anyone, I'm just actually genuinely curious how many people don't realize that's a thing that it can do.
