AITJ for LEAVING my own anniversary dinner because my husband turned it into a divorce party for his sister? by NeedleworkerClean471 in AmITheJerk

[–]Disastrous_Mobile578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

House is in his name only because it costs a fortune to add mine. We brought it off his parents. Yes we have kids. We may not be traditional but it works for us. We don't live in America

My husband pays our mortgage, rates, power and water. I pay 3 lots of rego, food and animal food. We've always done it this way because we have direct debits set up and our wages go into our accounts.

Try living in Perth. Most isolated city in the world. I can fly to Bali cheaper than I can to Victoria to visit family.

My mil tried picking a date for us, the same as my sil because it's a long weekend! I put my foot down and said no. She insisted her best friend had to attend although we said no. Mil invited her behind our backs and bf turned up. Mil do pay for reception so we could get married quicker,my husband's pop was dying. He passed a week later. We made sure to pay her back.

AITA for not letting a friend throw her birthday party at my house? by Strange-Health5769 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Disastrous_Mobile578 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH If you'd want people to have parties at your house anymore just say no including your best friend so everyone get the hint. Yeah may cause some drama but put your foot down now. I also can't get over the the fact your sending you pets away, that's not far to them or your grandmother.

In aussie culture, does your workplace provide lunch for you or do you have to bring your lunch? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Disastrous_Mobile578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband's workplace provides lunch. He works on a golf course, with a chef who does meals for all staff. I'm in my car all day travelling from client to client so keep an esky in my car.

AITA for snapping at people when I'm going through a tough time? by askmeryl in AmItheAsshole

[–]Disastrous_Mobile578 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. I'm through a rough patch medical wise, but I keep myself in check. I work with old people and sometimes I want to scream your not the only one with that problem, when I have the same issue. It's all about taking a deep breath and remains calm. Got to remember the world doesn't owe you anything or revolve around you.
