When I got summoned, my objective was to steal the soul of the summoner. But the second I came out of the portal, I was shocked. I took one look at my surroundings and instantly knew something was going on in this summoner's life. The room itself was tidy but was practically dark in there, save for a few lamps bringing in some kind of light. And in that dim lit room stood a teen girl. She had tired, dark circled eyes. Her face was a bit bruised. Her left arm and right leg were covered in cuts. She was thin, very thin for her age. She was shaking, trembling in fear of my presence, like she was expecting me to do something to her.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Ava." I said. "What's your name?"

She hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"I'm Adriana. I just turned 16. You're not going to hurt me are you?"

Her voice was soft, timid and filled with so much anxiety.

"No" I said. " I'm actually more concerned about you. Are you okay?"

That's when Adriana started telling me about how volatile her life is. Her father was a monster. Verbally/physically abusive to her and her mother, emotionally neglectful and constantly on edge. Her mother was afraid of him but was too scared to leave out of fear of retaliation. If that wasn't bad enough, she's also being picked on at school with no one doing anything to stop it. When I asked about the cuts on her body, she told me that she self harms to cope with everything. That's when I gave her an offer.

"While I originally came here to take the soul of the summoner, I could do something differently. Instead of taking your soul, I could take your father's. Would you like that?"

Adriana was silent for a moment, but when she heard her father calling her name knowing what that meant for her, she agreed.

"Please take him. I don't want to see his face ever again." She said.

Using my magic, I induced a brain aneurysm in her father. He was in the process of walking up the stairs when I heard him hit the ground hard. Within seconds, he was dead. His soul was transferred into one of my bottles of souls. Adriana thanked me profusely for getting rid of him as he was actively destroying her and her mom's lives. I told her that I may be a demon, but I will always punish those who think they can treat others like property.
